Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor FAQs
Trending Questions on Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor - Answered by Autocar Experts
My parents (both 62) want to replace their old Spark with a new car. Requirements: automatic transmission, high ground clearance, good mileage, a refined engine, and reliable service. Theyโve shortlisted the Tata Exter (4-cyl) and Tata Punch (3-cyl). Their concerns are the Punchโs 3-cylinder engine and service, and the Exterโs lack of body-safety ratings. They prefer a compact, easy-to-handle car (not bulky). Budget is under โน10 lakh on-road. Any other recommendations?
As you've mentioned, the Hyundai Exter is the smoother and more refined car of the two, thanks to its four-cylinder petrol engine.
Its transmission is also relatively more seamless, and overall, Hyundai cars have a better reputation for their sales and support network too.
Other options you could shortlist are the Maruti Fronx or Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor 1.2 petrol AMT.
Iโm planning to buy my first car. I can drive but not confidently yet, and Iโm in the defence forces so I drive only while on leave. Please suggest which car I should buy. Iโm considering the Maruti Fronx Delta CNG, Hyundai Venue N, or Toyota Urban Cruiser HyRyder. If you have any other good options, please tell me.
We'd suggest getting a compact car rather than a larger one, which will help you make a judgment easily. Also, since you are likely to drive the car infrequently, it is better to pick a petrol, rather than pay a premium for a corresponding CNG version.
We'd suggest you shortlist the new Hyundai Venue 1.2-litre petrol and the Maruti Fronx/Toyota Taisor 1.2-litre petrol. All of these are smooth and user-friendly options.
Between them, the Venue will feel more spacious, and its high seating and SUV-like driving position will make it a touch easier to drive than the Maruti/Toyota options.
I want to buy a new automatic car within an on-road budget of โน12โ14 lakh. My monthly running is around 200 km in heavy city traffic, with only a couple of highway trips each year. I prefer a car with good interiors, reliable service support, and features like a 360ยฐ camera. Which models should I consider?
The Nissan Magnite Turbo CVT and Tata Altroz 1.2 petrol DCT, both get excellent, smooth automatic transmissions, as well as a 360-degree camera.
Between the two, the Tata car gets our vote for its spaciousness, value, and overall robust build. The Toyota Taisor Turbo AT and Maruti Fronx Turbo AT with the 360-degree camera will be relatively pricier.
However, these brands have a better reputation for service and maintenance.
Hi! Iโm planning to buy a hatchback or sub-4m SUV for mostly solo highway driving, around 4,500 km per month. Iโm looking for a comfortable automatic car with good mileage that can seat 4 people comfortably. Iโve shortlisted the Toyota Glanza V AMT since it offers a Maruti engine (which Iโve always liked) without being a Maruti-branded car, something my family prefers to avoid. Given this context, do you think the Glanza is the right choice in 2025, or would you recommend any other non-Maruti options?
Hi Autocar team, need your expert suggestion. I have a 5-year-old petrol Nexon Automatic (XZA+). I'm fed up with the regular mechanical faults (one or another) and am now looking to change my car to another automatic. My preferences are safety, low maintenance, reliability, fuel economy, good interior, and comfort . I have a stretched budget of 12-13 lakhs for the automatic gearbox. Which car should I buy?
Iโm done with my MG Astor Savvy CVT purchased in 2022 and now want a car from a brand with more reliable after-sales support. I need a spacious, fun-to-drive car. Automatic is preferable, but Iโm fine with a manual. My budget is below โน15 lakh.
My budget is โน12-15 lakh. I need a car for a family of five, with priorities in this order: safety, reliability, comfort on bad roads, value for money, and highway comfort. Iโm not keen on gimmicky features. Iโm leaning toward the Citroen Aircross X but also considering the 3XO, Taisor, and Honda City.
My budget is โน10 lakh, and Iโm looking for a budget-friendly car with good mileage. Iโve shortlisted the Toyota Taisor, but Iโm not interested in Maruti Suzuki. Is my choice correct?
Iโm 55 years old and a first-time car buyer. My budget is โน9-11 lakh. Iโll use the car mostly in the city, with a 400 km highway trip once every two months. My requirements: safety, automatic transmission, and a 4-cylinder engine. Can you please suggest suitable models?
There are a number of options available based on your requirements. If you want a hatchback, go for the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. It comes with a smooth 4-cylinder engine paired to an AMT automatic gearbox, and it comes with 6 airbags and a 4-star safety rating from Global NCAP. However, if you prefer a small SUV or a crossover, consider the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, which comes with the same four-cylinder engine and safety features as the Baleno. Do note, both these models are also available as rebadged Toyotas in the form of the Glanza (Baleno) and Taisor (Fronx).
Hi, Iโm planning to upgrade to a new car after 10 years. Iโm 6'2" and need a CNG-fitted car for daily long runs to the office. My on-road budget is โน9 lakh. Iโm torn between the Tata Punch CNG, Toyota Taisor CNG, and Hyundai Exter CNG. Should I buy now or wait a few months for more CNG options in this budget? Please suggest.
The Toyota Taisor CNG has the best engine among the cars you have shortlisted. Itโs the one to buy if youโre comfortable with the cabin.
Some of our taller reviewers did mention that the driving position feels a bit high. If thatโs not an issue for you, the Taisor CNG is definitely the best choice.
We also compared the Exter CNG and Punch CNG, and found the Hyundai Exter to be a more rounded package overall.
