I currently own a Maruti Ritz VXi petrol MT and am considering buying either the Maruti Brezza AT or the Honda Amaze CVT. Which one should I go for? My budget is Rs 15 lakh.
While the Honda Amaze CVT is an excellent car, since your budget goes all the way up to Rs 15 lakh, we would recommend stretching to the superior Maruti Brezza AT.
For one, you've already lived with a Maruti, and are thus already integrated into the aftersales and service network. You could even seek out a loyalty bonus from your local dealer. That aside, the Brezza is a larger, more spacious vehicle with a larger and more powerful engine. And while the Honda's CVT is smooth, the Brezza's 6-speed torque converter AT is smoother still, although fuel economy isn't quite as good as a result.
That said, if you can wait a little while, a facelift of the Brezza is expected in the coming months, which should offer even more creature comforts.

I want to buy a compact SUV (manual petrol) within a budget of ₹13 lakh. My priorities are a good interior, smooth ride quality, and good fuel economy. Please suggest at least three suitable options.
You should check out the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, which has a plush ride and scores well on fuel economy. Its interior doesn't wow with the latest tech and gizmos, but scores for space and excellent seat comfort.
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx Turbo/ Toyota Taisor Turbo would be next on our list. There's a bit more flash inside the cabin, the turbocharged engine is more exciting than the Brezza's and fuel economy is also good. Again, ride comfort is impressive.
The new Hyundai Venue is also an option. It's got a modern interior but trails the Marutis on ride quality.

I am a family of three and need to buy a sub-4-metre SUV with the 18% GST benefit. Monthly driving is around 500 km. Highway use is once every four months. I plan to hold the car for 10 years. Please suggest a feature-rich car with high resale value. My budget is Rs 12 lakh. Petrol with automatic option, alloy wheels, and a sunroof are required.
At a time when the car market is going through a lot of changes with new regulations and electrification, predicting resale value after 10 years is hard. However, in our resale value study conducted in 2025, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Hyundai Venue came out as the models that hold their value best.
Of the two, only the Brezza AT fits within your budget, albeit in VXI trim, which misses a sunroof. The Venue DCT is pricier, still. You could consider the Maruti Suzuki Fronx AMT or Fronx Turbo AT, which meets most of your requirements and will also hold its value well.

The Suzuki 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated engine that powers the Brezza isn’t very exciting, but its modest power output makes it low-stressed and hence very reliable. Plus, the Brezza is the most fuel-efficient petrol SUV in its category, which ticks another important box for you.

I have been using a Hyundai Accent 2011 petrol manual. I am now planning to buy a mid-size SUV with an automatic transmission, with a budget of Rs 12-15 lakh. My weekly running is around 150 km. The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is a safe choice and a car that you can’t really go wrong with. It’s not an exciting car to drive, but it meets your requirements of being efficient and trouble-free. The 6-speed automatic transmission is quite smooth, and you’ll find it much easier to drive than your old manual Xcent, thanks to light controls and an elevated driving position.
The ZXi variant of this Maruti car is well-equipped and has all the features you would typically want to use. So if you are leaning towards the Brezza, you should go ahead and buy it.

I want to buy a small SUV automatic (not AMT) within my budget of ₹11-12 lakh. My usage is about 600 km per month, mostly in the city. My priorities are a good interior, smooth ride quality, and good fuel economy. Please suggest suitable options.
Since you would specifically want to avoid an AMT, we would recommend the Skoda Kylaq. The newly launched Classic+ variant and higher Signature trim will be within your budget.
The automatic version comes with a torque convetor gearbox which is the smoothest autobox around. The 1.0-litre engine also delivers well enough on fuel efficiency and performance.
The Kylaq's ride and handling balance is good, however it does feel jittery over low-speed bumps and ruts. If this is a deal breaker, we would suggest you look at the Maruti Brezza. It also has a torque convertor automatic, which delivers decent mileage and has a very nice low-speed ride. But, it will be slightly above your Rs 12 lakh budget.

I have driven 1.35 lakh km in my A-Star, which has good power in third gear, good fuel efficiency, and high reliability. 1,35,000km is a commendable amount, and since you're accustomed to the reliable peace of mind a Maruti Suzuki gives, we'd recommend sticking with the brand. There are two options - the Brezza and Fronx - that are surprisingly different from one another, each with its own pros and cons.
While the Brezza is larger and more spacious, its 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine is not particularly punchy nor fuel efficient. Especially in automatic guise, and you will feel strained out on the highway, where you do most of your driving.
The Fronx may be a bit smaller, but its 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine offers far more punch, while remaining reliable and fuel efficient. Given your usage, the Maruti Suzuki Fronx 1.0 Turbo AT should be the pick for you.

Hello, I am planning to buy a new car by 15th February. My budget is ₹10-12 lakh, and I need an automatic petrol car. This will be my second car after a Hyundai Creta. My usage will be twice a week, about 40 km each time. I need a reliable car with good resale value and low maintenance costs - mileage is not a priority. I am confused between the Hyundai Venue and the Maruti Suzuki Brezza. Since the Brezza’s facelift status is doubtful, should I still buy it?
The Hyundai Venue DCT’s most affordable variant, the HX5, sits just over your Rs 12 lakh budget. If you are comfortable with that, it is the safer buy right now. It has just been launched, is a well-sorted product with proven mechanicals and reliability. It also comes with a smooth automatic gearbox, and Hyundai also has a wide service network.
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza automatic is equally strong on reliability and resale. However, with a facelift expected, buying the outgoing model now could mean quicker ageing and a slight impact on resale value. If you are keen on the Brezza, it makes more sense to wait for the update.
