The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is expected to get its first major update since the current model launched in 2022. This facelift is likely to bring little styling changes, small interior improvements and possibly more safety features to keep it competitive in the compact SUV segment.

  1. Minor exterior updates to refresh the look without changing the overall design
  2. Interior expected to get small improvements and minor feature upgrades
  3. The engine and CNG option are expected to stay the same

The facelift is currently undergoing testing, and an official reveal is expected sometime next year.

The Brezza facelift is expected to get subtle styling changes. Spy shots show new four-spoke blacked out alloy wheels with a swirl-style design. The headlamps may have a slimmer look and the rear end may get an LED light bar. Bumpers may be slightly reshaped too. The upright stance and compact proportions remain unchanged, so it will not be far removed from the current model.

Inside, the update is expected to focus on small improvements rather than a new layout. The existing 9-inch and 7-inch touchscreens are likely to continue. Changes may include new upholstery patterns, revised cabin trims and possibly a couple of added convenience features.

Additional safety tech could also be introduced on higher variants, though details remain unconfirmed.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza powertrain and specs

No mechanical changes expected

1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that develops 103hp and 137Nm

Mechanically, the Brezza facelift is expected to carry forward the same petrol engine and gearbox options, a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 103hp and 137Nm, mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic, along with CNG options. Full details on the powertrain setup will be available closer to the launch next year.

With newer rivals offering upgraded equipment, a small update should help the Brezza remain competitive in the segment. It competes with the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Kia Syros, Skoda Kylaq, Nissan Magnite, Maruti Fronx, Renault Kiger and Toyota Taisor..
