Yes, the Aircross X will appeal to your heart, but given Citroen's limited service network and cramped third row, the Triber Turbo is the more sensible choice.

The Tata Hexa is a genuinely good family car. It has a comfortable cabin, excellent ride quality, a powerful 2.2-litre diesel and plenty of space for seven. However, a 2017 or 2018 car with 80,000km has already done a significant portion of its life, and you are looking at another 70,000 to 80,000km of ownership. This is where we would be cautious. The Hexa has been discontinued for several years, and parts availability might become an issue.At Rs 6 lakh, the car can make sense only if it is exceptionally well maintained and you are prepared for occasional large repair bills. Before buying, get an independent inspection covering the turbo, clutch or automatic gearbox, injectors, suspension, steering, cooling system, AC, electricals and underbody. Insist on complete service records and check whether major wear items have already been replaced.If reliability until 150,000 to 160,000km is the primary objective, we would rather look for a newer and simpler seven-seater like a used Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, even if that means giving up some of the Hexa's size and performance.

Consider the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios AMT. It is the best fit for your requirements. The Nios is compact, easy to manoeuvre and has excellent all-round visibility, which makes it ideal for a new driver learning in city conditions. The AMT automatic takes away the stress of clutch control in traffic, making the learning process smoother and more confidence-inspiring. It is also a very reliable and low-maintenance car. You can also consider a Maruti Swift AMT, although the Nios is more compact, which makes it a bit easier to drive around town.

Given your requirements, the Tata Punch Adventure S CNG AMT is a sensible choice. The Punch is a well-packaged city car with a rugged stance and a practical CNG installation. Go for the Renault Triber or its sister car the Nissan Gravite. They are both economical to buy and run and offer genuine three row seating comfort. At your budget you will also get the top end variant which comes very well equipped with features like a touchscreen music system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a rear camera, NFC card based central locking, rain sensing wipers and other bits. The only downside is the 1.0 litre engine is not really powerful and you have to work it hard in instances like overtaking, driving in the hills or when your are fully loaded. If this is a concern, opt for the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. The engine is more powerful and easily manages everyday driving tasks even when fully loaded. Its also larger and thus would give you more room inside however at Rs. 10 lakh you would get the base version only.
