MG Windsor Range

As per ARAI, the MG Windsor EV range is 332km with the 38kWh battery and 449km with the bigger 52.9kWh battery on the Pro variants.

When we tested the 38kWh version, the car averaged 8.1km per kWh, which translates to 308km on a full charge. It fell just 24km short of its claimed range, which makes it one of the few EVs to come this close. We are yet to test the 52.9kWh version.

How far can the Windsor go on a full charge?

• In the city: About 327km, as per our test in the most efficient Eco+ mode.
• On the highway: About 289km, as per our test in Eco mode.
• In Normal mode: Expect closer to 230km, as efficiency dropped noticeably when we drove it this way.

Note: With a 7.4kW AC charger, a full charge takes about 7 hours for the 38kWh battery and 9.5 hours for the 52.9kWh battery. On a DC fast charger, the 38kWh version charges from 0-80% in 55 minutes. And as per MG, the Pro charges from 20-80% in about 50 minutes.
