The claimed range of the MG Windsor with the 38kWh battery pack is 332 km, while the top variants of the MG Windsor with the 52.9kWh battery option have a claimed range of 449km. When connected to a 3.3kW AC charger, lower variants of the MG Windsor take about 13.5 hours to go from 10-100 percent; this drops to 7 hours when plugged into a 7.4kW charger. Meanwhile, the top variants of the Windsor need about 9.5 hours on the 7.4kW system. Where the lower variants accept DC fast charging up to 45kW, the top ones can go up to 60kW.
Interestingly, the MG Windsor’s real-world mileage is very close to its claimed ARAI figure. In Autocar India’s range test, the regular 38kWh MG Windsor real-world range was rated at 308km (combined city and highway), delivering an impressive efficiency of 8.1km/kWh.

The standard Windsor is powered by a 38kWh battery, which has an ARAI range of 332km. The Pro variants get a 52.9kWh unit with up to 449km of ARAI range.
The MG Windsor EV 38kWh variants take 6.5 hours to fully charge the battery when using the 7.4kW AC charger, whereas the Windsor EV Essence Pro’s 52.9kWh battery takes 9.5 hours for the same. A 45kW DC fast charger can charge the Windsor EV 38kWh from 0-80 percent in 55 minutes, whereas 60kW DC charging can charge the Windsor EV Essence Pro from 20-80 percent in 50 minutes.
The MG Windsor EV base model gets a 3.3kW AC charger as standard, with the 7.4kW AC charger available as an optional extra.
The MG Windsor EV battery will naturally see some degradation over an extended period of time, but proper maintenance and charging can help slow down the process.
The MG Windsor EV gets two battery pack options: a 38kWh unit and a 52.9kWh unit.
