Trending Questions on MG Hector - Answered by Autocar Experts
I am planning to buy the MG Hector Plus 7-seater. Is it advisable to buy one?
Looking to buy a vehicle for city use with a daily running of 40-50 km and a budget below 20 lakhs. My top priority is back seat comfort, as it will be chauffeur-driven since my wife doesn’t drive. Vehicle safety is also a top priority. I am open to any body style. Kindly suggest.
There are also other options that deliver a good rear seat experience. Our top picks include the Hyundai Creta, Mahindra XUV700, Honda City and Kia Carens Clavis.
I want to purchase the MG Hector Sharp Pro top-model manual petrol, as I require a big luggage space. Please suggest the pros and cons of this car.
We are a retired couple looking to buy a new SUV that is safe and offers a very comfortable back seat. Our daily commute is around 35 km a day. Our budget is ₹25 lakh. Kindly suggest some choices for us. Thank you.
Given your requirement for good rear seat comfort, you could consider the MG Hector. It is a spacious SUV and scores well on rear seat comfort. However, fuel economy on the petrol version is poor.
Other options worth looking at include the Mahindra XUV700, Tata Harrier, Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
I’m looking for an SUV in which I’ll mostly be chauffeured but will occasionally drive myself. My budget is around ₹20 lakh (ex-showroom). I don’t prefer MPVs, though I can consider the Innova Crysta.
I have shortlisted the XUV700 diesel automatic and MG Hector petrol automatic (since MG doesn’t offer a diesel automatic) because both have a flat second-row floor. Does the Tata Sierra also have a flat second-row floor? Which SUV would you recommend between the XUV700 and the MG Hector?
I am planning to buy an SUV. How is the MG Hector?
Hi, Hitesh Shah here from Mumbai. I want to buy my first car and I love the MG Hector Plus. Can I go ahead with it? My running is about 500 km per month.
The MG Hector Plus offers great value for money, especially considering its size at this price. The first two rows are extremely spacious. The third row, however, is best suited for short city trips, ideal for kids or shorter adults.
If you’re looking for a more versatile 7-seater, you could also consider the Kia Carens Clavis, which comes at a similar price. Kia Carens Clavis price starts with ₹13.12 lakh (on-road) for the base model in Mumbai.
I'm 6'4" tall. While most budget cars fit me in the driver's seat, none of them are comfortable for long time spent in the seat. The main issue is thigh support. Can you recommend a car that has a good ergonomic design for tall people? My budget is tight and can stretch to 25L. I sat in the Skoda Kodiaq with a seat extension. Loved it. So comfortable. But cannot afford a 50L car and bear the low mileage petrol costs.
You might consider the Mahindra XUV700 and the MG Hector as potential options. Both vehicles offer broad and supportive front seats, which could enhance comfort during long drives.
Opting for a lower variant without a sunroof may provide additional headroom, which could be beneficial given your height.
