The Renault Kwid would be a good option for you. As far as AMTs go, the Kwid's gearbox does the job, but the car itself will feel like a bit of an upgrade over your current Maruti Alto. The Kwid has a few SUV-like design traits, the ground clearance is good, as is the ride, and you will get a version with an in-built touchscreen too.Bear in mind, though, that the gear selector on the AMT Kwid is a rotary dial and not a traditional gear lever, and this may feel odd to begin with.
