I currently own a 2015 Hyundai Elite i20 in Kolkata, and it has done around 1.10 lakh km. I want to buy a new car with an automatic transmission, and my budget is around ₹14-15 lakh. I have shortlisted the Skoda Kyalq, Kia Sonet, and XUV 3XO. I plan to keep this car for the next 10 years, and most of my driving will be within the city (70% city and 30% highway). Please suggest which car I should opt for.
While all three compact SUVs are impressive in their own separate ways, your best bet here is the Skoda Kylaq. Its 1.0 TSI engine and 6-speed automatic combination is smooth, which should come in handy around town. It's also very spacious and comfortable, and even quite a lot of fun to drive. When you go out on the highway, it's reassuringly stable and rides comfortably, too.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO has many of these traits too, but its engine, while powerful, isn't as smooth, refined or efficient as the Skoda's, and it has a tiny boot. The Sonet is starting to show its age, and its rear seat is very cramped. Plus, around town, its DCT gearbox can be quite jerky, and ride quality is firm too.

The dual-clutch automatic can feel a bit jerky in bumper-to-bumper traffic, hence we'd recommend you opt for an SUV with a torque converter automatic instead.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO 1.2 MPFI Turbo petrol AT is an option you must seriously consider. It has a stronger engine and a smoother transmission, which feels more suited for stop-and-go conditions.

I used a Brezza CNG and now I am confused between CNG and EV. Which one is better? I have a daily running of 100 km and want to purchase an SUV like the Brezza.
For your daily running of 100kms, an EV will do just fine, but you will have to charge it daily or at least every alternate day. Thus, we would recommend this only if you have access to reliable charging at either your home or place of work. Since you are looking for an SUV body style, you can consider buying the Tata Nexon EV or the recently unveiled electric Mahindra XUV3XO.
If charging is an issue, a CNG would be a better choice; the CNG Brezza is a good performer. Do bear in mind that the CNG tank does eat into the boot space.
If you would like to have a usable boot, then consider the Nexon CNG. It has dual CNG tanks below the floor, thus leaving you with an open and very usable boot.
