Mahindra Marazzo Quick Review
The Mahindra Marazzo has turned out well and is nicely done on the inside as well. There are some ergonomic anomalies but you’d take keenly to the neat dashboard, good overall quality and commanding view out. Seat comfort is also good and the middle row is rather nice with either a bench seat or captain’s chairs. Access to the third row is fairly convenient and as a space for two, it works just fine. Fitting in three adults, however, is a stretch.
The Mahindra Marazzo is quite unique in layout for a ladder-frame MPV. Its 123hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine is positioned transversely and sends power to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox. Engine refinement is a highlight and some lag aside, performance in town is also commendable. Loaded with passengers, the Marazzo does feel like it could do with more power; and in general, the engine isn’t what you’d call punchy.
The Marazzo feels a bit lumpy over imperfections but ride quality is largely very good. It also feels safe and predictable at high speeds and the light steering and tight turning circle are a boon in town.

Also part of the package is a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation. The range-topping Marazo M8 is identifiable by its LED DRLs and 17-inch alloy wheels, and it’s also the only one with a rear-view camera, faux-leather upholstery and an Android Auto compatible infotainment system. However, it’s quite pricey.
