This Vision S can prove to be a massive success because of the following advantages:- a. Length > Sub-4/4.3 meter (increases City Driving convenience) b. EV + P + D engine options under 1500 cc (all the engines are a delight to drive in their respective classes and categories) c. New Chasis (the most advanced and latest offering by Mahindra Auto) d. V Good Ground Clearance From the (great) looks of it, the vehicle holds a substantial height and will definitely give a tall and commanding driving position. If the manufacturer can take care of the dynamic driving experience by:- a. ensuring maneuverability + b. mid to high speed cornering, body roll (best possible) & vertical movement + c. braking (front & read discs) & handling (nimble and weighs up fairly well on high speeds) I really like how all Mahidra's vehicles drive right from the Thar, Bolero + Neo/TUV, 3X0, 500, Marazzo, Scorpio(s), 700/7X0. I have not driven the electric vehicles yet but I have even driven the Verito, Xylo & Rexton, haahaa. The longevity and reliability are the key here like the Bolero and the Scorpio Classic. Apart from the above expectations below are essential requirements which must be provided:- a. Diesel AT - Torque Converter Transmission option over the AMT. The 3XO misses that and the Bolero does not have an Automatic. I feel this vehicle shall step up to be the modern day progression of both 3XO and the Bolero. b. Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror c. Rear AC vents & arm rest d. New screens from the 7XO d. Plush seats (for comfortable long distances travel) e. AWD capability (if someone can confirm this please) or RWD with LSD f. Controlled wind and heavy speed noise and if they give g. top quality high output music system that's an added advantage + Insulated and UV cut glasses h. Customisation options as shown in the concept as a true utility vehicle. Vision S will be yet another success after Bolero, Scorpio(s), XUVs & XEVs. I am very excited and really looking forward for the launch of this car and I hope I get to drive this very soon.

Hi, I am planning to upgrade from my Volkswagen Polo 1.2 MPI to an automatic car. My monthly running is around 800 km, mostly in the city. My priorities are excellent NVH levels, comfortable ingress and egress for my elderly parents, and a plush ride quality. I am confused between the Hyundai Venue Turbo Automatic and the Skoda Kylaq Automatic. Should I buy one of these now, or would it be better to wait for upcoming models like the Maruti Suzuki Vision S, Hyundai Bayon, Renault Bridger, Kia Clavis, or the new Kia Sonet? Also, is there any other car that would suit my requirements better? I have also heard that DCT gearboxes are not ideal for heavy city traffic. Is that true?

Go for the Skoda Kylaq automatic. Your priorities are clear: low NVH, easy ingress/egress for elderly parents and good ride quality. The Kylaq delivers on all three. The cabin is well insulated, the ride is comfortable, and the ideal seat height makes getting in and out easy. The 6-speed torque converter automatic is also the right choice for your usage. It is smooth and well suited to city driving, unlike the DCT in the Venue, which can feel hesitant in stop-go traffic. Skoda Kylaq price starts at Rs 7.59 lakh and goes up to Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Venue turbo DCT is a good Hyundai car, but the Kylaq is the more comfortable and easier-to-live-with option. As for waiting, the Vision S and Bridger are expected later next year; the Bayon will be bigger and more expensive, so none are likely to fundamentally change the equation for your requirements.

Hi, I am planning to purchase a Jimny this year. I love to travel to the mountains and visit offbeat locations. I am from Uttarakhand. Also, I have really liked the Mahindra Vision S in the spy shots. Will the Vision S be available with 4x4? Should I wait for it or go with the Jimny? Thank you.

Go for the Maruti Suzuki Jimny. Your usage is exactly what the Jimny is designed for: mountain travel, offbeat locations and challenging terrain. It is a proven, purpose-built 4x4 with a low-range transfer case, compact dimensions and excellent off-road capability. That makes it ideal for Uttarakhand’s narrow mountain roads, broken tracks and unpredictable conditions. The Jimny is also reliable, easy to maintain and backed by Maruti’s strong service network, which is important in remote areas. The Mahindra Vision S is an interesting upcoming product, but it is not a direct rival to the Jimny. It is expected to be a larger, more premium SUV and is unlikely to be offered with a proper 4x4 system with low range. It will be more of a lifestyle SUV rather than a hardcore off-roader. If your priority is genuine off-road capability and mountain travel, the Jimny is the clear choice. If you want a larger, more comfortable SUV for family use with occasional soft-roading, then the Vision S could be worth waiting for. But for your specific use case, the Maruti car mentioned above is the right tool for the job.
