The Tata Sierra is set to make a comeback on November 25, 2025, and the manufacturer has been teasing the upcoming SUV for some time now. Now, Tata Motors has teased the Sierra again, this time giving a glimpse of its dashboard design.
- Two screens for infotainment and a digital instrument cluster
- Teaser also shows 4-spoke steering wheel, dual-tone upholstery
New Tata Sierra: What does the new teaser confirm?
A 3-screen setup, an auto-dimming IRVM and an ADAS suite confirmed

The new teaser showcases the Sierra’s dashboard design in detail, which features a 3-screen setup that was earlier spied in a test mule. Two of these are for infotainment, and while the UI and functions are yet to be revealed, it can be seen that the same content can be mirrored on both.

The digital instrument cluster’s user interface (UI) seems identical to that on the Tata Curvv, with similar graphics and details. The screen shows a 17kpl fuel efficiency and a distance-to-empty of over 300km with a little less than half a tank of fuel, which makes us assume that it is the Sierra’s diesel version that has been teased. A closer look at the digital driver’s display also shows a lane-departure warning symbol, which confirms that the Sierra will be equipped with an ADAS suite in its production-spec model.

There’s also a protruding panel above the dashboard in front of the driver; it could be a head-up display (HUD), but nothing can be said with conviction in that regard. However, if it really is an HUD, the Sierra would be the first Tata car to get this feature.

Keen-eyed viewers can also spot a Curvv-derived touch-based AC control panel, which has buttons for what looks like a powered tailgate and a 360-degree camera. Two different temperature control options are also visible, with a ‘sync’ button, which hints at the Sierra getting dual-zone climate control. During our time with the Curvv, we found out that the AC panel is not very intuitive and requires taking eyes off the road while operating it. Being a glossy panel, it was also prone to fingerprint marks and visible scratches. So, one can expect those issues with the Tata Sierra if it has the same HVAC control panel.
The Sierra will also get a 4-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo and touch-enabled illuminated buttons and an auto-dimming interior rearview mirror (IRVM). From the teaser, it can also be said that the Sierra will come with a dual-tone grey-and-black cabin theme, something that we have seen in the Tata Curvv EV.
New Tata Sierra: Other confirmed features
Will feature a panoramic sunroof, rear window sunblinds and parking sensors at both ends

In the earlier teasers, it was confirmed that the Sierra will feature a panoramic sunroof, front and rear parking sensors and sunblinds for rear windows. Other features that could make it to the production-spec SUV could be ventilated front seats, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless phone charger, 6 airbags and an electronic parking brake.
New Tata Sierra: Engine and transmission options
Expected to get multiple 1.5-litre engine options
Powertrain options of the new Tata Sierra are yet to be revealed, but it is likely to borrow the Curvv’s 118hp 1.5-litre diesel, the new 170hp 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that will also power the Harrier and Safari, and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, the specifications of which are currently unknown. All these engines are expected to be offered with both manual and automatic transmission options.
The Sierra will also be presented in an all-electric avatar, and its detailed powertrain specifications are awaited. However, it is expected to feature the Curvv EV’s 55kWh and the Harrier EV’s 65kWh options.
The Tata Sierra will lock horns with the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder and Kia Seltos. The Sierra EV, on the other hand, will rival the Hyundai Creta Electric, Mahindra BE 6, MG ZS EV and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki e Vitara.
