I love bikes and currently ride a 2019 FZ-25 in good condition with 26,000 km on the odometer. I want a more comfortable bike for highway touring with a reliable engine and better headlight visibility at night. Please suggest suitable options.

Since you haven't specified your budget, we'll give you some options from both the same segment as well as one above. In a similar displacement and performance range as the FZ25, the Bajaj Pulsar N250 and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V are good options, and the Pulsar in particular has a great headlight spread. You should also look at the KTM 250 Adventure because it has more performance than your FZ, good highway manners and a bright headlight too. If you are open to stepping up to a 300cc machine, the TVS Apache RTX 300 will be a great option. It has even more performance than the aforementioned KTM. Moreover, its Top and BTO variants come with a very bright LED headlight that also has good spread and throw. We recommend exhaustive test rides and seeing the headlight performance of each of the bikes you shortlist for yourself before going ahead with the purchase.

I have been riding Royal Enfield motorcycles for years. First, I owned a Bullet Electra (2023), and then a Himalayan 411 (2020), which has crossed 45,000+ km. Lately, the Himalayan has started showing electrical issues and E20-petrol-related problems, and it has become difficult to depend on it for my daily rides. I travel at least 50km every day and occasionally do 100+ km suburban rides on weekends, so I urgently need a reliable, low-maintenance and practical motorcycle. An upright posture is a must. My budget is ₹2 lakh.

Since you have had a lot of experience with Royal Enfield bikes, we would steer you toward the Hunter 350. With its lightweight, upright and neutral ergonomics and decent fuel efficiency, it will be a wonderful companion inside the city.If you want to look elsewhere, bikes like the Bajaj Pulsar N160 / N250, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Honda Unicorn will also serve you well and will return considerably more fuel economy if that's important to you.

Hello, Autocar. I have a maximum budget of ₹2 lakh on-road. Which is the best bike that I can buy for 50:50 city and highway use? I want a bike with decent power and torque to cruise comfortably at 90kmph on highways at low rpm. I also visit the hills 3 to 4 times a year, so the bike should perform well on ghats. Pillion comfort should be good too. I currently own an old Royal Enfield Classic and do not want to buy another Royal Enfield, as I find it unreliable, high on maintenance and unnecessarily heavy. Thanks.

Keeping your requirements in mind, the option that should be at the top of your list is the TVS Ronin. It has a smooth, torquey engine paired with neutral ergonomics and lovely ride comfort. Considering it has a flat and spacious seat, pillion comfort should also be quite nice for most folks. Some other options you can look at are the Honda CB300F and the Bajaj Pulsar N250, both of which have aggressive looks but are actually very straightforward and easy to ride.Take a test ride of all three to see which one suits you best.

I’m looking for a bike for city commuting and touring. My daily commute will be 8-10 km, and I go on occasional weekend trips. I want a bike with good suspension for Indian roads and decent mileage. My budget is ₹2 lakh. I am looking for a bike that provides good pillion comfort too. Seat height, especially for the pillion, should not be too high, as my mother usually asks me to drop her off at work. Which bike should I choose?

Considering your needs, an adventure bike like the Hero Xpulse 210 will serve you well, though it is on the taller side. A Royal Enfield Classic 350 or Bullet 350 is also a good choice if you prefer a more traditional, comfortable cruiser. If you want a sporty-looking but comfortable street naked, options like the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Bajaj Pulsar N250, Suzuki Gixxer 250, or Honda CB300F are worth exploring.
