The bike carries an aggressive naked sport design inspired by larger Pulsar models, which gives it A strong road presence despite being a 125cc machine. What makes it even better is that despite this bold design, it’s still light and easy to handle, so riding through traffic or taking tight turns doesn’t feel difficult.

Despite its sporty character, the Pulsar NS125 mileage is 46.9kpl. And with its 12-litre fuel tank, it offers a practical riding range of approximately 563km, depending on the riding habits and weather conditions. Design and Quality

7.0

The Bajaj Pulsar NS125 closely follows the design of its larger siblings, especially the NS200. It carries the same sharp streetfighter styling, featuring a single headlamp, a neat tail section, and attractive alloy wheels. Despite the design being several years old, it still looks sporty and distinctive in the 125cc segment. Also, the analogue tachometer is a nice touch; the display misses useful information such as a gear position indicator and fuel consumption data.

Position and Comfort

8.0

One of the NS125’s strengths is its spacious riding ergonomics. Sharing its dimensions with larger NS models results in a roomy rider triangle, making it comfortable for taller riders. The reach to the handlebars is natural, and there is sufficient legroom. The 810mm seat height strikes a balance between commuter-friendly motorcycles and more performance-focused bikes. Ride quality is generally comfortable, thanks to the well-tuned telescopic fork, although the rear monoshock feels slightly firm.

Performance and Fuel Economy / Range

8.0

The 125cc, four-valve, air-cooled engine produces 12hp and 11Nm. It feels responsive and tractable from low speeds, making city riding easy. Power builds smoothly until around 9,000rpm, after which performance and refinement begin to drop off.

The five-speed gearbox has well-chosen ratios and a light clutch, helping the bike feel comfortable in urban conditions. Highway cruising is best limited to around 80-85kph, as the engine feels strained at higher speeds.

Ride and Handling

8.0

The perimeter frame and preload-adjustable monoshock give the NS125 a solid foundation. Handling is one of its highlights, with quick steering and confidence-inspiring cornering manners. The skinny tyres contribute to its agile feel, making it enjoyable on twisty roads. Despite weighing 144kg, the motorcycle feels well-balanced and manageable, both while moving and at a standstill.

Features and Safety

7.0

The NS125 focuses more on its mechanical package than on features. The semi-digital instrument console is basic by modern standards. Braking duties are handled by a 240mm front disc and a rear drum brake. Stopping performance is adequate, although improved lever feel and the addition of ABS would have been welcome.

Price and Verdict (Overall Rating)

7.0

It is more expensive than the standard Pulsar 125 but delivers better handling, stronger road presence, and a more engaging riding experience. The NS125 successfully combines sporty dynamics with everyday usability. While its dated instrumentation, lack of ABS, and average refinement hold it back, it remains a unique and appealing option for riders seeking a sporty 125cc motorcycle without stretching to premium alternatives.
