Trending Questions on Tata Altroz - Answered by Autocar Experts
I am confused between the Tata Altroz diesel and the XUV 3XO MPFI petrol. My running is around 1,500 km per month, and once every 2โ3 months, I do long trips of about 2,500 km. Should I save money and buy the Altroz, or spend extra for the added comfort of the 3XO?
I want to buy my first car with a budget of up to โน10 lakh. My daily commute is around 140 km. Which would be the best option considering fuel costs, comfort, and long-term reliability?
Hi, I am confused about whether to buy the Altroz diesel or the Kylaq.
Hi Autocar Team, I am Neel. I am buying my first car and need suggestions for a non-AMT automatic car with an on-road budget of Rs 10 lakh and Rs 14 lakh. My priorities are safety, mileage and features like a 360-degree camera and cruise control. Kindly provide your suggestions.
My monthly commute is around 2500 kms. I need a fuel-efficient car that offers good space and safety. My budget is around 12-13 lakh. Which car would you recommend?
My daily commute to work is around 90 km, and monthly driving is around 2,000โ2,500 km. The XL6 AMT is my only vehicle. I am confused about whether to go for an EV, a diesel, or CNG car. CNG has long waiting queues. My budget is โน10 lakh. My driving is partly in city traffic and partly on the ring road. Or should I switch to a bike? Please advise.
With a Rs 10 lakh budget, the Tata Tiago EV will be a good option for you. The Tiago EV is a smooth and sensible car, and its small footprint makes it adept for urban usage.
It gets a 24kWh battery and its real-world range is around 190km, twice as much as your daily usage. However, you will have to charge it almost daily to ensure there is more than sufficient range at all times. By charging the car at your home, the running costs of this EV will be similar to or even lower than those of a bike.
Alternatively, you could opt for a diesel Tata Altroz. It is a very fuel-efficient option, and even though the running costs will be higher than an EV, these will still be significantly lower than a similarly priced petrol car.
I am confused about which car to buy. My wife wants to keep the budget at Rs 10 lakh. I am looking for a car with good safety features, and the main idea is to have a comfortable car where we can fit a baby seat along with the childโs kit and other essentials.
Hi, weโre a family of three, and Iโm considering a used Hyundai i20 N Line N8 iMT in Mumbai. Is it okay to buy a used iMT variant in terms of reliability and maintenance (I understand DCTs are costlier)? What would be a reasonable maximum price, considering the year and condition? I also have safety concerns, as the i20 has a reputation for average safety. Should this be a major factor for a family car? Thanks in advance for your inputs.
Buying a used iMT isn't much of a worry if the car was well-maintained. In fact, it would be simpler and cheaper to fix than a dual clutch auto, gearboxes which have given some trouble across different brands.
Buy from a reputed reseller like Spinny, as you will get a car that is thoroughly inspected and, depending on the individual model, would have a warranty too. Prices could be higher than market rates, but that does get offset by the peace of mind in terms of a car that is serviced and backed by a brand.
Expected to pay around Rs 7 to 8 lakh for a two-year-old car, again, the value will vary a lot depending on where you buy it and the condition and mileage of the car. As for the safety angle, yes, the car has an average safety score, and this is ok for primarily city usage.
If you do a lot of highway drives and are very concerned about safety you could look at a Tata Altroz, which has a good crash safety rating.
