The Tata Altroz facelift has secured a full 5-star rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests. In adult occupant protection (AOP), the hatchback racked up an impressive 29.65/32 score, while the child occupant protection score was 44.90/49. The 2025 Altroz is the ninth Tata car to be tested by the BNCAP so far, and all of them boast the highest safety rating. Notably, the pre-facelift Altroz was awarded 5 stars in the Global NCAP crash tests in 2020.

Frontal offset deformable barrier test: 15.55/16

In Altroz’s frontal offset deformable barrier test, protection to the driver’s head, neck, chest and feet was rated ‘Good’, while for the legs it was ‘Adequate’. For the co-driver, protection was ‘Good’, aside from the ‘Adequate’ rating for the right tibia.
Side movable deformable barrier test: 14.11/16

For the side pole impact test, protection to all parts of the driver was ‘Good’, leading to an ‘OK’ rating. As for the side movable deformable barrier test, it received a mixed rating, comprising ‘Good’ protection for the head and pelvis, ‘Adequate’ for the abdomen and ‘Marginal’ for the chest.

The Altroz scored a nearly perfect dynamic score of 23.90/24 when using the child restraint system. For both the 18-month-old and 3-year-old child dummies’ side protection, the premium hatchback was granted a dynamic score of 4/4. The frontal protection for the 18-month-old dummy was 7.90/8, and for the 3-year-old dummy, it stood at 8/8.
