The Tata Altroz measures 3,990mm in length, 1,755mm in width, 1,523mm in height, and 2,501mm in wheelbase. It's slightly shorter in length and wheelbase compared to rivals, but wider and taller than most of them.

The Nexon offers a higher ground clearance, more features, and stronger engines than the Altroz, but its higher variants are much more expensive. The Altroz, meanwhile, is more maneouvrable in the city and costs less to run.

The Altroz offers a well-built cabin with lots of features, good amounts of space, and fuel-efficient powertrains.

The Tata Altroz delivers a very absorbent ride quality, easily soaking up undulations at low speeds and maintaining composure on the highway.

The Tata Altroz price starts at Rs 6.30 lakh and climbs to Rs 10.62 lakh (ex-showroom), putting it on the higher side of the premium hatchback segment.

The base variant of the Altroz is Rs 1.07 lakh cheaper than that of the Nexon. Comparing top variants (excluding cosmetic packages), the Altroz is Rs 3.25 lakh cheaper than the Nexon.

Comparing base variants, the Altroz is more expensive than the Tiago by Rs 1.6 lakh. In terms of top variant pricing, the Tiago is cheaper by Rs 2.22 lakh.

Despite its compact dimensions, the Altroz offers lots of space and a comfortable cabin. The rear bench can accomodate three average-sized adults in decent comfort.

The Altroz Creative S, priced from Rs 8.37 lakh to Rs 9.82 lakh, offers the best value as it's available with all powertrain configurations and gets features like a 360-degree camera, sunroof, 10.25-inch touchscreen, ambient lighting, LED headlamps and tail-lamps, etc.

The Altroz offers features like a sunroof, ambient lighting, cabin air purifier, 16-inch alloy wheels, 10.25-inch digital driver's display and more over the Tiago.

The Altroz is the only hatchback in India to offer a diesel engine option, specifically a 90hp 1.5-litre mill. If you frequently go on highway trips, the Altroz diesel is your best bet. If your usage is primarily in the city, go with the petrol/CNG variants of the Altroz.
