Hyundai Creta facelift unveil in November

The Hyundai Creta is set to get a facelift in the Indonesian market and the carmaker will debut the refreshed SUV at the GIIAS 2021 motor show (to be held from November 11-21). The Creta facelift will bring updated styling as well as a longer features list.

Hyundai Creta facelift: new feature and interiors

One of the biggest talking points for the Creta facelift is the inclusion of the Advance Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) on the top two trims of the SUV. These ADAS features will likely make it to the Indian model as well, likely to be launched next year, as other midsize SUVs like the MG Astor already offer it.

Another addition will be an updated BlueLink connected car tech accompanied with new safety features like stolen vehicle tracking, stolen vehicle immobilisation and a valet parking mode, all of which will be accessible via your phone.

Besides this, the features list will also include a panoramic sunroof, a premium Bose sound system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster (like the one seen in the Alcazar) and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.

There are also unconfirmed reports that suggest the Creta will be offered with both a five- and a seven-seat layout in Indonesia. However, unlike the Creta-derived Alcazar offered in India, the Indonesian model won’t have an extended wheelbase. This means the additional seats will be smaller and fit in the boot of the regular five-seat Creta (similar to the layout of the seven-seat Kia Sonet sold there).

Hyundai Creta facelift: what else do we know?

In terms of styling, the mid-cycle update for the Creta will see it getting a new front-end – akin to the one on the new-gen Tucson. This means the refreshed Creta will get a new 'parametric grille' design, with more rectangular headlamps, that are positioned slightly lower than before, and new LED Daytime Running Lamps flanking it. At the rear too, the facelift is expected to get some tweaks to make it look similar to the mildly updated Creta for Russia.

Under the hood, Hyundai is likely to introduce the Creta facelift for Indonesia with a solitary 1.5-litre petrol engine and we don't expect a diesel to join the lineup in that market.

Hyundai Creta facelift: expected India launch

Seeing as the new Creta launched in India only last year, it is a bit early for a facelift. Hyundai will introduce the refreshed Creta in Indonesia first, with the India launch expected only in the latter half of 2022. The updated Creta for India is expected to feature a similar design and features seen on the Indonesian model.
