Discounts of up to Rs 2.60 lakh on Volkswagen Vento, Tiguan, Ameo, Polo

The Indian automotive sector has been suffering a major slowdown over the last few months. However, October 2019 sales reports have shown some sign of improvement, though it is yet unknown whether it is just the festive season aiding sales of whether the market is actually on the mend. Volkswagen India is now hoping to push sales for the month of November 2019, by offering discounts and benefits on the Polo hatchback, Ameo compact sedan, Vento midsize sedan and the Tiguan SUV. We have compiled a list of all discounts available on these select models below.

    Volkswagen Vento

Save up to Rs 2.60 lakh
The Vento recently received a facelift, which brought with it some minor feature additions and tweaks to the exterior styling. In addition, Volkswagen also introduced a GT Line trim, which gets some sporty cosmetic additions. The Vento comes with three engine options – a 105hp, 1.6-litre petrol engine, a 105hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and an 110hp, 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine. The midsize sedan can currently be had with massive discounts of up to Rs 2.60 lakh via Volkswagen dealers. It is also worth noting that the diesel Comfortline and petrol Highline variants are being offered at a special price of Rs 9.99 lakh. Competitors for the Vento include the Skoda RapidHyundai VernaHonda City and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.

    Volkswagen Tiguan

Save up to Rs 2.50 lakh
The only premium SUV offering from the German carmaker, the Tiguan is a well-built SUV with remarkable long-distance cruising ability. However, it is priced a little high and lacks the road presence offered by other similarly priced SUVs. Volkswagen offers the Tiguan with a single engine-gearbox combination – a 143hp, 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-diesel engine paired to a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. The SUV rivals other premium soft-roaders like the Hyundai Tucson, Skoda Kodiaq and Honda CR-V. Benefits and discounts worth up to Rs 2.50 lakh can be availed on the SUV from dealers.

    Volkswagen Ameo

Save up to Rs 2.20 lakh
The Volkswagen Ameo competes in the compact-sedan segment where its rivals include the Maruti Suzuki DzireHonda AmazeHyundai Xcent and Ford Aspire. The German carmaker recently added a GT Line trim to the Ameo range, along with updating the warranty to 4 years/1,00,000km for the petrol and 5 years/1,00,000km for the diesel variants. Powering the Ameo is either a 76hp, 1.0-litre petrol engine or an 110hp, 1.5-litre diesel unit. Perspective Ameo buyers can avail benefits worth up to Rs 2.20 lakh on the compact sedan via Volkswagen dealers.

    Volkswagen Polo

Save up to Rs 2.15 lakh
Volkswagen’s only offering in the premium hatchback segment, the Polo, too, received a recent facelift. The updated Polo, however, got only cosmetic updates, with the mechanicals remaining untouched. It continues to employ the 76hp, 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol and the 90hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine. While the GT variants continue to make use of the BS4-compliant 105hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and the 110hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine on offer, they will be phased out by the time BS6 emission norms come into effect. Dealers across the country are offering benefits and discounts worth up to Rs 2.15 lakh on the premium hatchback.
