Irrespective of which group you belong to, what you should also know is about the world’s best carmaker’s commitment to aftersales service. Especially the fact that its programs and packages are developed for not just when you acquire a new Mercedes and take it home, but also cater to a time when the car becomes a part of your family. These initiatives are a direct result of knowing — and anticipating — what customers want, and making his or her ownership experience as smooth as possible. Let’s take a quick look at four such Mercedes-Benz offerings that put the customer first and deliver peace of mind to discerning Mercedes owners.

    MERCEDES-BENZ VALUE SERVICE

    Every Mercedes-Benz owner cherishes the memory of the day they got their first Mercedes home. And, according to Mercedes-Benz, the joy of owning one of their cars only increases with time, thanks to initiatives such as the Mercedes-Benz Value Service. The value service, which caters to owners with cars over five years old, is both affordable and effective, and will cover select variants of the C-Class, E-Class, S-Class, M-Class and GL-Class families. The value service covers the replacement of engine oil and engine oil filters, complete inspection and a thorough wash. It is a standalone offering distinct from periodic maintenance, and the perfect option to ensure you car continues to run in perfect order without high expenses.

    STAR EASE

    Star Ease is characterised by a defined maintenance cost based on the model, contract period and mileage, and offers numerous attractive benefits such as priority handling, shorter waiting time and quicker processes. It also offers Mercedes owners choice, and its plans range from the Flexi Plan, which has over 9 different packages, to the Long-Term Plan, in which coverage ranges from two years to ten years. The plans are linked to packages such as the Compact and Compact Plus.

    The Compact Package includes an onboard electronics check via advanced diagnostic tools such as Xentry, replacement of engine oil, transmission oil, brake fluid and coolant, and comes with a tenure of 2,3,4,5 and 10 years. The Compact Plus includes all of the benefits offered by the Compact Package, but also dials in additions such as replacement of brake discs and pads (front and rear), wiper blades and wheel alignment and balancing. The Compact Plus package also offers Mercedes owners the option of choosing the right plan for themselves, and options range from 3 years/30,000km to 10 years/2,00,000km.

    ADVANCE ASSURANCE PROGRAM

    The Advance Assurance warranty program, which has been jointly developed by Daimler Financial Services and Reliance General Insurance, comes into play after the completion of the standard 3-year warranty. Mercedes owners can opt to either extend it for another year, or up to the 6th year. Advanced Assurance can be bought anytime within three years of the date of the sale. What’s more, since it is transferable, it contributes to the resale value of your Mercedes. The warranty is also honoured at all Mercedes-Benz dealerships across India, and notwithstanding maintenance repairs, Mercedes owners can look forward to not encountering any unexpected expenses during the insured period. Other benefits include priority handling and express processing of claims.

    MOBILO ON-ROAD ASSISTANCE

    Mobilo, Mercedes-Benz’s on-road assistance program, has a footprint that covers over 900 locations across India, which means that, should Mercedes owners ever need help, it won’t be far away. Available in both Plus and Lite variants, Mobilio’s services include vehicle towing (to the nearest Mercedes-Benz vehicle partner), hotel accommodation up to 3 days in case owners are away from their city of residence, onward travel, and vehicle pick-up and repair. The program is available for up to 8 years, of which the first three are free of cost. From the fourth year, the package starts at Rs 3,380, and if you were to consider an annual mileage of 15,000km, the Mobilo service works out to be extremely attractive proposition at less than 0.3 per km.
