As the festive season gets well and truly underway, two-wheeler sales generally see a boost. Here’s how each of the six big two-wheeler brands has fared.

Hero: 7,05,084 units

Again, Hero MotoCorp is in its numero uno position, having sold just over 7 lakh units in October 2026, although it reported a marginal 0.75 percent decrease from 7,10,436 units in September. That said, compared with October 2025 (6,04,829 units), the company saw a significant 17.46 percent increase.

Hero recently launched the Destini 110 Classique Edition scooter in India and will show a brand-new Xpulse – likely the long-awaited 421 – at EICMA 2026 soon. Hero exported 29,319 units in October 2026, up from 27,330 units in the preceding month.

Honda: 6,64,831 units

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) is in its usual runner-up spot, clocking over 6.50 lakh units domestically last month, a small 4.40 percent increase over its sales in September 2026 (6,36,768 units). Compared with October 2025 (5,98,952 units), the company reported an 11 percent increase.

Honda has been on a roll lately, launching new accessible premium models such as the XR300L, XR300 Rally, CB500 and Rebel 300 bikes and the QC3 electric scooter. The company exported 69,735 units last month, roughly similar to the 69,498 units in September.

TVS: 5,14,764 units

TVS Motor Company sold over 5 lakh units last month, reporting a 6.78 percent increase from September 2026 (4,82,073 units). TVS also posted a healthy 22.10 percent surge compared with its 4,21,631 units in the corresponding month last year. One should note that TVS, the current electric two-wheeler market frontrunner, lists sales of its iQube and Orbiter EVs separately and doesn’t bundle them into the number above.

The Hosur-based marque recently updated the Raider with a traction control system. The company is India’s second-largest two-wheeler exporter, and it shipped 1,55,915 units overseas last month, which was a little lower than 1,63,882 units in September.

Bajaj: 2,92,885 units

Pune-based Bajaj Auto sold nearly 3 lakh units last month, which was a substantial 22.15 percent increase over 2,39,771 units in September 2026. The company also recorded a 9.02 percent increase compared to 2,66,470 units in October 2025. It bears mentioning that the company bundles the sales of the sub-400cc Triumph and KTM models, as well as those of its Chetak electric scooter, in its sales figures.

Bajaj, which recently launched the updated NS200 and N250SS models, is India’s largest two-wheeler exporter. It shipped 2,08,309 units overseas last month, a small drop from the 2,11,723 units in September.

Suzuki: 1,24,559 units

Suzuki Motorcycle India posted its highest-ever monthly sales in October, recording an increase of 14.48 percent from 1,08,806 units in the preceding month. Similarly, Suzuki posted a 20.40 percent increase from 1,03,454 units in October 2025.

Suzuki recently updated the V-Strom SX with a new colour option, with the overall package remaining the same. The company shipped 21,720 units overseas in October, a decrease from 24,882 units exported in September.

Royal Enfield: 1,21,527 units

Royal Enfield sold over 1.20 lakh units last month, which was largely similar to what it sold in September 2026 (1,21,326 units), a nominal 0.17 percent increase. In contrast, sales rose 4 percent over October 2025 (1,16,844 units).

RE has taken the covers off the hotly anticipated Himalayan 750 with full specifications set to be revealed soon at EICMA. In terms of export performance, the company sold a slightly lower 11,915 units in October compared with the 12,632 units in September.
