Hero MotoCorp HF 100
The Hero MotoCorp HF 100 is an entry-level, no-nonsense daily commuter motorcycle. It was first launched in 2021, as the brand’s most affordable bike with a 97.2cc engine and all-black theme to cut down costs. Since its launch, the Hero HF 100 has received various updates, with the most comprehensive one coming in 2025. As part of this update, the HF 100 was updated to meet the latest OBD-2B emission norms.
Currently, the Hero HF 100 is the second cheapest Hero MotoCorp bike in India, and is available in a single variant, the Drum Kick Cast OBD2B (with kick-start mechanism). While it skips features like an electric start to keep the costs low, this variant still comes with all other essential components like alloy wheels, and smart safety features, such as engine cut-off at fall and side stand engine cut-off.
The HF 100 price is one of the main factors for its popularity among first-time buyers, small-town commuters, delivery agents, and budget-conscious families in India. The Hero HF 100 ex-showroom price is ₹59.84 thousand. On the other hand, the Hero HF 100 on road price generally ranges between ₹64,047 and ₹73,811, depending on RTO, insurance, and various other charges.
Another big reason for the HF 100’s popularity is its efficiency. As per ARAI, the Hero HF 100 mileage is around 70kpl, while as per various owners, in real world conditions the fuel economy typically falls between 65kpl and 70kpl.
Despite being affordable and efficient, the Hero HF 100 offers adequate performance for everyday use. It is powered by a 97.2cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 7.91bhp of power and 8.05Nm of torque. Its engine is paired with a 4-speed gearbox and features Hero’s xSENS fuel injection technology, which offers instant pickup and improves power and fuel efficiency.
When planning to buy a reliable and economical bike, Indian budget-conscious users often compare HF 100 with other models like Bajaj Platina 100 and Honda Shine 100. But the Hero HF 100 stands out due to its strong brand reliability, extensive service network, and lower pricing.
