Trending Questions on TVS iQube - Answered by Autocar Experts

Asked by: Veeron Jan 8, 2026

I am looking to buy an electric scooter. My average daily commute is around 10km. Which EV scooter would be the most suitable for my usage?

Since you have a rather short daily commute, we would recommend you go with the base versions of the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak or Ather Rizta. You can even consider the TVS Orbiter, although it is a step down in performance and features compared to its sibling, the iQube, but it offers a slightly more spacious rider's triangle and, importantly, more range thanks to its larger 3.1kWh battery.
A visit to your nearest authorised dealerships for all four regarding aftersales service and a test ride will help you decide which scooter is the best fit for you.

I drive about 350 km monthly (around 12-15 km daily). I am looking for a new EV scooter with decent storage. How is the TVS iQube 2.2 or Ather Rizta for my usage for a family of three?

In the electric scooter market, we would recommend you take a look at the Ather Rizta 2.9 variants, Bajaj Chetak 3001 and the TVS iQube 2.2 / 3.1 for your usage. All three have large storage spaces under the seat, with at least 30 litres of space available, if not more.

The Ather is the only one that will give you a touchscreen colour TFT display on the higher Z variants if that is of interest to you. If not, the S variants have the same underpinnings with a few features less while also costing much less.

The iQube and Chetak are proven products and have a straightforward scooter riding experience. They are appreciated by lakhs of people and are sure to resonate with you as well.

A test ride and visit to your nearest dealer to enquire about service costs is for all three in order to make a more informed decision.

I am 36 years old, and my daily commute is about 90 km (to and from) six days a week. I currently own a 2016 Hero Glamour PGM-FI. I now want to buy an EV bike or scooter for daily commuting. My 90 km run includes about 40 km in heavy traffic and 50 km on the highway. You may also suggest suitable 125/150 cc bikes. Please advise.

Since you have a long daily commute, you will need a scooter with a battery capacity of 3.5kWh or more, so you have a healthy buffer in case of emergencies or to account for spontaneity. Among our top picks in the EV space today are the Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube and Ather Rizta

Among the 125cc commuters, you can consider the TVS Raider, Hero Xtreme 125R, Honda Shine / SP125, Honda CB125 Hornet, Hero Super Splendor and Hero Glamour X. In the 150/160cc space, we would recommend the Honda Unicorn / SP160, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Bajaj Pulsar N160.

We would recommend you take a test ride of everything you shortlist before you make up your mind.

Hey, I'm planning to buy a new scooty, and I'm torn between IC and EV options. I live in Bangalore, and my daily commute is around 16-20 km. I'm considering Jupiter and Yamaha Ray ZR in IC, and Ather Rizta in EV. Can you guys suggest which one would be best for my use case and why? Open to other suggestions too!

If you have a charging facility at home and have limited daily usage, then going for an electric scooter makes a lot of sense. We would recommend you take a look at the Bajaj Chetak 3001 and TVS iQube 2.2 and 3.1 in addition to the Ather Rizta you're considering.
All three are reliable options, so we would recommend choosing the scooter which feels the most comfortable to ride for you. A test ride will help you decide.

Which scooter would you recommend for my daily usage of around 12-15km within Kochi city limits? There could also be a fortnightly ride of more than 20-25km. I am open to ICE, EV or hybrid options.

Since your daily usage is limited, you can look at electric scooters if you have the facility to charge it at your residence. Among all the options available, we would recommend taking a look at the Ather Rizta, Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube models that fit within your budget.
If you want to stick with an ICE scooter, our current top picks would be the Honda Activa 110 / 125, TVS Jupiter 110 / 125 and the Suzuki Access 125. Do take a test ride of all shortlisted options to see which one suits you best.

I would like to buy an EV scooter for myself. My daily commute is about 35-40km with some amount of load most of the time. Charging will not be a problem, and my budget is around ₹1.10-1.20 lakh. Please suggest.

Considering your needs, we would recommend the Bajaj Chetak 3001 / 3503 and the TVS iQube 3.1. Both the iQube and Chetak are comfortable, practical and spacious machines that have established themselves to be reliable and hassle-free EVs over the years and whichever one you choose, you'll be making a good decision.
Do bear in mind that the Chetak is slightly on the heavier side owing to its full-metal body compared to the iQube, and depending on the load you carry every day, that could be something you should keep an eye out for.

I’m planning to buy a new scooter since my Ntorq has completed over 50,000 km and needs some rest. My daily running is about 50 km. I had initially planned to buy the Rizta 3.7, but now Yamaha is launching the Indie Twin. Should I wait for it? Also, when can we expect the EC-06 to launch?

From our experience with the practical and comfortable River Indie, it seems likely that the Yamaha EC-06 will carry forward those qualities as well. However, it remains to be seen what Yamaha's sales and service network for its EVs shapes up to be, and that is a crucial factor to consider.

We would recommend you stick to the proven mainstream players like the Ather Rizta, Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube if you're looking for an electric scooter right now.

I want to buy an electric scooter for myself. My daily riding distance is 30–40 km, and the roads are good. I care about good handling, a smooth ride, and comfort. I’m considering the Vida VX2 Plus - is it a good choice?

The Vida VX2 Plus you have shortlisted is a good option from a proven player like Hero, and will be comfortable.

Other options you can also look at are the TVS iQube 3.1 and the Bajaj Chetak 3001, because both are comfortable options from reputed manufacturers and will also serve you well.

I want to buy an electric scooter for my daily 15km up-and-down journey. I am not sure which one will be best for me in terms of battery performance, durability, mileage and looks. Can you please guide me?

Among all the options available in the electric scooter market today, we recommend you choose between these four: Ather Rizta, Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube and Vida VX2 (made by Hero).
These are reliable, comfortable offerings that come from reputed makes and considering your low running, even their base variants will have more than enough range.

What is the best 125 cc or electric scooter to buy for a daily office commute on heavily undulating (hilly/rough) roads?

From a comfort point of view, the Bajaj Chetak models or TVS iQube range will serve your purpose well from the sea of electric scooters available.

In the 125cc space, the most comfortable options are the TVS Jupiter 125, Honda Activa 125 and the latest Suzuki Access. Even the TVS Ntorq 125 is a good option if you want a sporty offering with peppy performance.
