The A4 is a nice balanced option that gives you good tech, comfort, and power. Most importantly, it is priced as it should be. Ideally, you'll have to sell it within 4-5 years to avoid the ageing German car phenomenon.

We had this variant for 4 years.. absolute champ.. amazing car in every aspect no complaints.. from premium interior to driving the car .. Honestly photos don't do justice to this car .. looks a lot better on the road and the interior has quiet luxury feel

I own the A4 since last year and have driven it 11500 km. The only constraint is the mileage, which is 7 in city Delhi and 13-14 on the highway. Even with 95 power petrol, I don't know what's wrong. I love the car, but it's like it's not loving me back. However, it definitely has ultimate pickup, comfort, and drivability.

It also gives you more space and a bigger boot than any sedan in this budget, which helps if you have a family or do airport runs often.Do note, though, that the X1's performance is just alright. The X1’s engines are fine, not thrilling, and the cabin doesn’t feel as plush as the bigger German sedans.If you must have a sedan car at this price, look at the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe. It is newer than the A4, sharp to drive, and usually fits the budget, but rear seat space is tight.

The A4 Premium Plus typically fits within Rs. 60 lakh on-road in many cities, and it still feels properly luxurious inside. Keep the A6. With only 14,000 km covered and a full Audi car service record, it is barely used, and you already own the bigger, comfier car. An A4 is a size down, so you will notice a tighter cabin. At seven years, the smart move is a preventive refresh - new tyres, battery, fluids and rubber bits. That bill will be far lower than the money you will lose by selling the A6 and buying an A4.Switch only if your daily use is mostly tight-city driving and you want an easier-to-park car with a fresh warranty and newer screens. In that case, the A4 petrol is smooth and light to drive, and it will sip a bit less fuel. Just do not expect it to feel as special as your A6.

At this age and mileage, a well-serviced and carefully driven Audi car still has plenty of life. It is quiet and smooth on highways, and you avoid another big hit in value right now.The other issue is that, on a budget of Rs 60-65 lakh, your only available SUV options from the German luxury brands are compact SUVs like the BMW X1, Audi Q3 and Mercedes-Benz GLA, which will feel like a downgrade from your A4 in terms of size and space. You will have to up your budget by at least Rs 10 lakh to move into the next segment of luxury SUVs. Better alternatives, if you don't mind a non-luxury badge, are the Skoda Kodiaq and Volkswagen Tayron. They offer similar quality levels to their more luxurious counterparts, as well as equitable levels of comfort and refinement. They even use the same EA888 2.0-litre petrol engine as your A4. What's more, for much less money, you get far more space and an even longer list of features. You sacrifice some snob value, but you get a more rounded product.
