Kia India has launched an extended warranty program for four its popular ICE models: Seltos, Sonet, Syros and Carens Clavis. Customers, both new and existing, can now extend coverage from 5 years to up to 7 years, and can be availed at any authorised Kia dealership across the country.
- Kia offers a 3-year warranty as standard
- Extended warranty will cover verified mechanical or electrical failures
For existing customers who already have a 5-year extended warranty plan, an upgrade option is available through a 5+2-year coverage plan starting at Rs 32,170 (excluding taxes). Meanwhile, new customers can opt for the full 7-year extended warranty at Rs 47,249 (excluding taxes). Kia offers a 3-year standard warranty.
The warranty program covers potential risks from manufacturing or material defects, resulting in mechanical or electrical failures. The extended warranty can also be transferred when the vehicle is sold, ensuring better resale value.
Other mass-market carmakers who offer a 7-year extended warranty program include Honda, Renault and Toyota.
