Tata Nexon led September 2025 sales with 22,573 units, making it the top-selling car in India.

Maruti Dzire

Maruti Suzuki Dzire followed with 20,038 units, continuing its strong run among compact sedans.

Hyundai Creta

Hyundai Creta ranked third with 18,861 units, holding its place as the top-selling midsize SUV.

Mahindra Scoripio N

Mahindra Scorpio N and Classic sold 18,372 units (combined).

Tata Punch

Tata Punch registered 15,891 units.

Maruti Swift

Next, the Maruti Suzuki Swift sold 15,547 units.

Maruti Wagon R

The Maruti Wagon R was close behind with 15,388 units.

Maruti Fronx

The Maruti Fronx recorded 13,767 units.

Maruti Baleno

The Maruti Baleno followed with 13,173 units, staying strong in the premium hatchback space.

Maruti Ertiga

The Maruti Ertiga rounded off the top ten with 12,115 units, continuing to lead the MPV segment.

Top 10 bestselling cars in September 2025 in pictures

The Tata Nexon was the most-selling model in September 2025. Next came the Maruti Dzire, followed by the Hyundai Creta and Mahindra Scorpio (which includes the Scorpio N and the Classic); the Tata Punch also made it to the top five. Maruti Suzuki dominated the rest of the list with the Swift, Wagon R, Fronx, Baleno and Ertiga.
