Skoda Kushaq price in Udhampur

₹12.30 - ₹21.84 Lakh
On road price in
EMI starting at ₹17,859 /month

On-road in Udhampur, the base model Classic+ 1.0 TSI MT starts at 12.30 lakh and the top model Monte Carlo 1.5 TSI DCT reaches 21.84 lakh. The Sportline 1.0 TSI AT sits between the two at 18.11 lakh.

If you are financing the car, a loan of 11,10,000 on the base model Classic+ 1.0 TSI MT means an EMI of 17,859 a month. Stepping up to the top model Monte Carlo 1.5 TSI DCT raises that to 31,695 on a loan of 19,70,000.

Why prices change from the base model to the top model:

  • The base model Classic+ 1.0 TSI MT is a Classic+ with the 1.0-litre engine, while the top model Monte Carlo 1.5 TSI DCT is a Monte Carlo with the 1.5-litre and the dual-clutch.

  • Moving from the 115hp 1.0-litre to the 150hp 1.5-litre costs more than a single step up the trim levels.

  • Three gearboxes are offered, and both automatics cost more than the manual.

  • The panoramic sunroof and the powered ventilated front seats sit on the upper variants.

  • The 1.5-litre also brings disc brakes on all four wheels, so the extra money buys hardware as well as equipment.

Registration, road tax and insurance are added to the ex-showroom figure, and how much they add depends on the state you buy in. That is why the same variant costs more in one city than another.

Skoda Kushaq FAQs

Budget-conscious buyers should consider the Skoda Kushaq Classic+ variant. Despite being the entry-level model, it comes well equipped with alloy wheels, automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, rear wash-wipe, an auto-dimming IRVM and a sunroof as standard. This variant offers all the essentials most buyers need without feeling like a stripped-down base variant.

I live in Bangalore and have to commute to the office daily. I leave home at around 7:00 AM and log out at 3:30 PM from office. My average daily driving is about 50 km, mostly within the city, and I take an occasional highway trip about once a month. My budget is Rs. 15-16 lakh, and I'm looking for the most suitable vehicle considering reliability, driving comfort, fuel efficiency, maintenance costs, and long-term ownership. So far, I've shortlisted Kia Sonet HTX Diesel (concerned about DPF issues due to my city driving), Skoda Kushaq Signature Plus AT, Tata Nexon Creative+ PS Camo DCA and Mahindra XUV 3XO AX5L. Based on my usage pattern, which of these would you recommend, and are there any other better options within my budget?

Based on your usage pattern of 50 km daily city driving with only occasional highway trips, the Kia Sonet diesel is not the best fit. Modern diesel engines with DPF systems are not ideally suited to predominantly urban driving, and while the Sonet is a good car, it is not worth the potential hassle given your usage. The Skoda Kushaq Signature Plus AT is a better option if you enjoy driving, but it is a segment up on the others, which means it will exceed your budget. The Kylaq is the direct rival to the others on your list, but its rear seat can feel a bit tight. The Tata Nexon Creative+ PS Camo DCA is a solid all-rounder with good safety credentials, but the DCA gearbox won't feel as smooth as the torque converter on the XUV 3XO.The Mahindra XUV 3XO AX5L is therefore the recommendation here. It has a premium and spacious cabin, a strong feature set, good safety credentials and a comfortable ride, making it well suited to daily city commuting. The turbo-petrol engine is also punchy and the 6-speed automatic is very smooth. If you are open to alternatives, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza automatic is also worth considering for its reliability, fuel efficiency, low maintenance costs and proven ownership experience, but it lacks the performance of the 3XO.

Hi team, I want to purchase a new car mainly for city use with 55 km daily running and highway driving very occasionally. I want a hassle free car for which I am considering Kushaq facelift classic plus model with post market modification, the new Sierra petrol model, Toyota Hyryder strong hybrid or Honda Elevate in a budget of 15 to 18 lakh. Please suggest.

We would recommend the Honda Elevate as it suits you best within your budget. In the city it is very smooth, quiet, and easy to drive, and the CVT transmission needs no effort in stop-go traffic. Steering is light, the ride handles bad roads well, and Honda's service network and long-term reliability are strong, which takes worry out of ownership. For your rare highway trips it cruises calmly, and the braking and high speed stability are reassuring. Also, the four cylinder engine is more powerful than the Kushaq and in the VX trim, you get the essential kit like parking camera with sensors, LED headlamps, powered tailgate and a single-pane sunroof among others.

I want to buy a new car for a family of five, and I am confused between the Skoda Kushaq 1.0 TSI Signature and the Kia New Seltos HTK naturally aspirated petrol.

Go for the Seltos HTK NA petrol. With a family of five, the Kia Seltos is the more sensible choice because it is simply the bigger and more comfortable car. The rear seat is wider, the cabin feels more spacious, and the boot is larger, which makes a difference on family trips. The naturally aspirated petrol engine of this Kia car is smooth and reliable, and the overall ownership experience is easy and stress-free.The Skoda Kushaq 1.0 TSI Signature is the better driver's car with a more engaging turbocharged engine, but it is a smaller SUV, and the rear seat is not as accommodating for three adults. For a family of five, comfort and space matter more than driving dynamics, and that is where the Seltos has a clear advantage.

I have been using Honda City manual for the last 21 years. Now, I want a car with automatic transmission for city running mostly. My average running is around 1000km a month. Can you suggest whether I should buy Seltos, Creta, Kushaq or Elevate?

Verified

Given your usage of around 1,000 km a month, mostly in the city, the priority should be a smooth and reliable automatic transmission, good ride comfort and ease of ownership. The Kia Seltos IVT is the most natural recommendation here. The IVT gearbox is also very smooth, and the Seltos feels more premium and feature-rich than the competition. Alternatively, consider the Honda Elevate. The CVT is exceptionally smooth in stop-start traffic, Honda’s ownership experience is proven, and the car is simple, reliable and easy to live with. The Skoda Kushaq is the driver’s choice, with a more engaging driving experience, but in city running, that doesn't matter much. The Hyundai Creta is a good all-rounder, but it is due for a full model change in 2027, which makes the Seltos and Elevate stronger recommendations at this point.

I need a suggestion. I travel around 30 km daily and am confused between two models: the Skoda Kushaq 1.5 and the Volkswagen Taigun 1.5. Please suggest which one is the better buy in terms of overall ownership.

Verified

Both the Kushaq and Taigun are mechanically identical, sharing the same 1.5 TSI engine + dual-clutch automatic gearbox options and chassis, so the driving experience is essentially the same. The decision comes down to brand preference, dealership experience and minor differences in interior design and feature packaging. The Volkswagen Taigun's design and interior feel slightly more premium, but the difference is marginal. At the end, besides aesthetics, see which brand is getting you a better deal. You won't go wrong with either. The Taigun price starts at Rs 11 lakh for the base variant (ex-showroom).
