Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift

Maruti Suzuki will launch the Baleno facelift in India on September 5, 2026. The second-generation Baleno was launched in 2022 and is now due for an update. The facelift is expected to bring changes to the exterior and cabin, while retaining the existing petrol and CNG powertrains.

Design

The Baleno facelift is expected to get a redesigned front grille with a horizontal bar connecting the headlights. The front bumper is also expected to be revised, while the boomerang-shaped LED DRLs and headlight design are likely to remain unchanged.

New alloy wheels are expected in profile. At the rear, the changes are likely to be limited to a revised bumper, with the existing tail-lights, roof-mounted spoiler and rear wiper expected to continue.

Interior

The dashboard design of the Baleno facelift is expected to remain largely unchanged. The facelift could, however, get new cabin upholstery.

The existing 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, single-pane sunroof, automatic climate control, six-speaker sound system, powered ORVMs and auto-dimming IRVM are expected to continue.

Engine and gearbox

The Baleno facelift is expected to retain the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 90hp. It will continue with five-speed manual and five-speed AMT gearbox options.

A 77.5hp CNG version is also expected to continue, paired exclusively with the five-speed manual gearbox.

Expected Price

The Baleno facelift is expected to command a slight premium over the current model, which is priced between Rs 5.99 lakh and Rs 9.14 lakh, ex-showroom.
