The Kia Syros is an option worth considering. It's got an amazingly roomy cabin, good boot space and ample ground clearance for our road conditions. It packs in ample safety features and there's comfort in knowing that its a 5 star Bharat NCAP rated vehicle. The 1-litre turbo-petrol HTK Plus is within your budget and gets some key features such as a crisp 12.3-inch touchscreen.
Other options you could look at include the Mahindra XUV 3XO in AX5 trim (though the boot isn't largest), Maruti Suzuki Brezza ZXI (a well rounded package) and Nissan Magnite Turbo (service network isn't very widespread).

For the family, the Kia Syros DCT is the most appropriate simply because the Syros has the most spacious cabin. The rear seats in particular are comfortable, offering more headroom and legroom than the Kia Sonet and Skoda Kylaq.

The XUV 3XO is more spacious, while the Kylaq has a bigger boot. The Kia Syros is an excellent, well-rounded car, too, but its entry-level variant, which is decently equipped otherwise, doesn't get a sunroof.
Hence, since you want a sunroof, within Rs 12 lakhs, the Mahindra XUV 3XO AX5 is the one for you.

You can also remove the seats entirely and use the space as a big boot. The turbo-petrol engine is responsive and nice to drive, the ride is extremely comfortable, and it has a decent feature list too. If you want maximum practicality, the Aircross X is a good choice.
The other option worth looking at would be the Kia Syros. The Syros has an unconventional design, but is excellent when it comes to space and packaging. It also has a higher level of quality throughout the cabin. Sure, it does not have an extra set of seats, but it has a spacious rear seat that gets ventilation for the base and a good degree of recline, too.
Also, Kia's network is more widespread than that of Citroen, and that does help when it comes to after-sales and service.
