It is one of the best value-for-money 7-seaters in your budget range, and the base variant is actually a smart choice because it offers the strong fundamentals of the car without paying extra for features you do not want. The diesel engine is the right choice here; it is a strong, refined unit with plenty of torque, and it makes the most sense for a large 7-seater SUV, especially if you do a mix of city and highway driving. The petrol is a good engine too, but it won't be as efficient as the diesel.If you are open to alternatives, the Kia Carens Clavis is worth a look. It is a more practical, family-focused 7-seater with a genuinely usable third row, but it does not have the same SUV appeal or road presence as the XUV 7XO.Overall, the XUV 7XO diesel base is the best fit for your requirements. Between the Nexon EV, Syros EV and Creta Electric, the Nexon EV is the most affordable option. But we'd strongly recommend the Syros EV - it is a very sensible choice. It is priced well, has a good feature set, and cabin space is excellent. Kia's battery management, software and service network inspire more confidence for long-term ownership. Overall, the Syros EV is the more balanced package, and even though the Creta Electric is a good car, the Syros EV comes across as better value for money.

If you want a new car immediately, go for the Kia Seltos diesel automatic. Since you already own a 2017 Creta diesel automatic, the Seltos will feel like a proper upgrade with a more premium cabin, better feature set and a fresher overall package. The Seltos and Creta share the same 1.5 diesel engine and 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, so the driving experience will be familiar, but the Seltos feels more upmarket and better finished inside.The Hyundai Creta is still a very good car, but with a new generation expected early 2027, it is not the best time to buy one. The Seltos was updated just a few months ago, so you are getting a much newer product. Of course, if you can wait, the new Creta will feature everything that the Seltos offers, and compared to the outgoing version, it'll feel far more modern.
