A teaser of the upcoming Tata Sierra SUV’s interior has revealed a dual-screen setup, which, interestingly, features a head-up display (HUD). Tata hasn’t disclosed which Sierra trims will get this dual-screen configuration.

  1. Tata Sierra to come with either three screens or a dual-screen setup.
  2. Interestingly, the dual-screen setup gets a HUD, but the three-screen setup shown at the unveil did not have it.

Dual-screen setup gets an HUD, which isn’t available with the three-screen layout

At the Sierra’s unveiling on November 15, Tata had revealed it with three screens. With the new teaser out, we aren’t sure which mid- or lower-level trims would be getting this interior. What’s intriguing is that the dual-screen setup comes with an HUD, which wasn’t there in the triple-screen setup shown at the unveiling. Moreover, the interior with the dual-screen setup gets a conventional hooded binnacle for the driver’s display, whereas in the triple-screen version, it is a continuous flat panel.

So far, the Tata Sierra’s confirmed features include two-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, powered driver’s seat adjustment with memory function, a wireless charging pad, rear sunshades, a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS and an electronic parking brake.

Tata has designed the exterior of the all-new Sierra while retaining elements from the original model, such as the black-painted section between the B- and C-pillars, which resembles the ‘Alpine windows’. Meanwhile, the overall stance is butch, with the front getting a sleek connected LED DRL (daytime running lamp) and the minimal-looking rear getting a slim connected LED tail-lamp. The side profile features squarish wheel arches and a dual-tone finish for alloy wheels. The Sierra will be available in six monotone colour options.

Tata Sierra powertrain details

To come with a choice of petrol and diesel engines

The Sierra will be available with petrol, turbo-petrol and diesel engines. While Tata has not revealed the exact specifications, the Sierra is expected to get the Curvv’s 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine producing 118hp and 260Nm of torque. It could debut two new petrol engines – a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol mill producing 120hp and 140Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 170hp and 280Nm, which will also make its way to the Harrier and Safari SUVs.

Tata Sierra expected pricing and launch details

Expected to be priced between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 20 lakh

In Tata’s line-up, the Sierra will sit between the Curvv and the Harrier. Expect the ex-showroom prices to range between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 20 lakh. Tata is all set to launch the Sierra on November 25.
