Boss mode is now becoming common on mass-market cars these days, and attracts consumers who prefer to be chauffeur-driven. SUVs like the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari and the Tata Harrier EV get this feature.

Teasers so far have confirmed that the Mahindra XEV 9S will feature a dashboard design similar to the XEV 9e. The dash is dominated by a triple-screen setup and includes a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo. Moreover, the interior also gets a white theme this time.

Confirmed features in the Mahindra XEV 9S, apart from the boss mode function, include reclining second-row seats, the triple-screen setup – digital driver’s display, the infotainment and a front passenger screen – and a panoramic sunroof. Expect features such as ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, leatherette upholstery, a 360-degree camera, a powered driver’s seat, a wireless charging pad and Level 2 ADAS to be part of the package.

Previous teasers reveal a closed-off grille at the front, crowned by a connected LED DRL bar and LED headlights positioned lower down. To increase rear space and headroom, the roofline has been lifted. The tailgate will also feature a different design, replete with LED tail-lamps. Additionally, the SUV features aero-optimised wheels.
