Skoda Kylaq price reduced

The Skoda Kylaq’s introductory price period ended on April 30, and rather surprisingly, the prices of the top Signature+ and Prestige trims have been slashed by up to Rs 46,000. The base Classic and Signature trims, however, do see a price hike, with the complete range now priced between Rs 8.25 lakh and Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

  1. Kylaq base price hiked by Rs 36,000
  2. Top-end Prestige MT variant now more affordable by Rs 46,000
  3. Select colours are optional extras for Rs 9,000

Prestige ATRs 13.99 lakh Rs 14.40 lakh -Rs 41,000

The Kylaq was launched at an introductory price range of Rs 7.89 lakh to Rs 14.40 lakh (ex-showroom), and later, this introductory price period was extended for an additional month through April. Now, the base Classic trim, available only with a manual gearbox, is priced at Rs 8.25 lakh – an upward revision of 36,000. Meanwhile, the second-from-base Signature MT and AT variants are also dearer by Rs 26,000 and Rs 36,000, respectively.

However, it’s the top trims that are now much better value for your money – the Signature+ MT and AT variants are more affordable by Rs 15,000 and Rs 5,000, respectively. Meanwhile, the top Prestige trim has its price reduced by Rs 46,000 and Rs 41,000, respectively. Do note that select colours are optional extras for Rs 9,000 on the first three trims, and the prices listed above are exclusive of that.

Skoda Kylaq sales

Kylaq fuels Skoda's best-ever monthly sales

The Kylaq has given a good impetus to Skoda’s sales. In March 2025, the Kylaq sold 5,327 units, giving Skoda its highest-ever monthly sales of 7,409 units in India in the last 25 years. In fact, since deliveries began in January, it has consistently been eating into Kushaq’s sales with the obvious overlap between the two models.

Sharing the same 115hp, 1.0-litre tubo-petrol engine and most of the equipment, especially on the higher variants, the Kylaq does come across as a better package without compromising on interior space. With this price revision, the Kylaq is now more affordable than the likes of the Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and Kia Sonet at the top-end, and that should further help boost sales.
