In the run-up to its reveal on May 9 and launch on May 22, Tata has teased the interior of the Altroz facelift. The teaser images show that the updated Altroz’s cabin will borrow features and elements from the Nexon and Curvv SUVs, along with a restyled dash.

Tata Altroz facelift interior changes
Dashboard looks cleaner with new AC vents and less highlights

The teaser shows that the Altroz facelift’s interior gets the new two-spoke steering seen in the Nexon and Curvv, along with the 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster that features map mirroring, among other customisations. The auto AC controls also seem to be lifted off the Curvv. The 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment continues, though it looks more integrated than the floating unit seen before, and along with the new-design central air con vents sans a highlight, the dashboard has a cleaner look.

Might get ventilated seats

In terms of the features list, all the highlights of the outgoing model continue – an electric sunroof, cruise control, auto climate control, rear AC vents, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 90-degree opening doors, fabric seats, and auto headlamps and wipers. It remains to be seen if leatherette seat covers and ventilated front seats will be offered on the Altroz facelift.
Tata Altroz facelift engine and gearbox options
4 of 5 engine and gearbox options likely to continue
The teaser image also clearly shows an automatic gearbox and two pedals, which means that the previously offered 88hp, 1.2-litre petrol – which comes with 5-speed manual and 6-speed dual-clutch auto gearbox options – is likely to continue. The 74hp Altroz iCNG and the 90hp 1.5-litre diesel version, both of which are available in manual form only, are also likely to be offered as before.
There’s no word yet on whether the Altroz Racer’s 120hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and 6-speed manual gearbox will be offered on the Altroz facelift.
