The Honda Elevate Black Edition has launched at a starting price of Rs 15.51 lakh. Also, the Elevate Signature Black Edition has been introduced, with prices starting at Rs 15.71 lakh. Based on the top ZX trim, these editions have manual and CVT automatic gearbox options. Honda also continues to sell the Elevate Apex edition, which went on sale last year.

  1. Elevate Black Edition gets an all-black interior and exterior
  2. It has the same 1.5-litre NA petrol engine as the standard SUV
  3. CVT automatic variants cost an additional Rs 20,000

Honda Elevate Black Edition details

As part of the Black Edition package, the Honda Elevate gets a Crystal Black Pearl exterior paint shade with all-black interiors and alloy wheels. Priced at Rs 15.51 lakh for the manual version and Rs 16.73 lakh for the CVT, it has a silver finish on the doors’ lower part, upper grille and roof rails.

The Elevate Signature Black Edition, priced at Rs 15.71 lakh for the manual and Rs 16.93 lakh for the CVT, takes a step further by providing a black finish on all silver bits on the Elevate Black Edition. Additionally, it gets a seven-colour ambient interior lighting package.

Features borrowed from the standard Elevate SUV include six airbags, a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, leatherette seating, a single-pane sunroof, camera-based ADAS, auto headlights and wipers, a semi-analogue instrument cluster and a 7.0-inch TFT display.

There are no mechanical changes, which means the Elevate Black Edition comes with the 121hp, 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, mated to either a manual or a CVT automatic gearbox.

Honda Elevate Black Edition competition check

The Elevate Black Edition takes on the Hyundai Creta Knight Edition, the MG Astor Blackstorm and the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara black edition. The standard Honda Elevate sees stiff competition from the likes of the CretaSeltosGrand VitaraHyryderKushaq and Taigun. Hyundai’s midsize SUV is the segment leader, with monthly sales averaging a staggering 15,000 units (approximately).

In comparison, sales of Honda’s midsize SUV have been below expectations. Last year, Honda introduced the Elevate Apex edition, which continues to be one of the popular variants of the SUV.

Dealers tell us that the Elevate Black Edition will be on display at the showrooms by next week.
