While most brands have adjusted their line-ups, a few cars stand out with the biggest absolute reductions. Here’s a look at the top gainers in the petrol and diesel segments.

The venue’s petrol price range has dropped from Rs 7.94 -13.82 lakh to Rs 7.26 - 12.67 lakh

4. Maruti Suzuki S-Presso: Up to Rs 1.30 lakh down

The S-Presso has become an even more budget-friendly option, with its price drop on the LXI (O) CNG variant. This reduction makes the S-Presso one of the most affordable cars on the market, appealing to first-time car buyers and those looking for a practical and economical city car.

The S-presso’s price range has reduced from Rs 4.27 - 6.12 lakh to Rs 3.50 - 5.12 lakh.

3. Kia Sonet: Up to Rs 1.35 lakh down

The Kia Sonet’s petrol variants have also benefited from a substantial price cut. The biggest reduction of Rs 1.35 lakh is specifically on the top-of-the-line X-Line DCT variant, making the most feature-rich version of the compact SUV a more compelling proposition for buyers.

The Sonet Petrol’s price range has dropped from Rs 8.00 - 15.00 lakh to Rs 7.30–13.65 lakh.

The 3XO’s price range for petrol variants has slipped from Rs 8.00 - 15.80 lakh to Rs 7.28 - 14.40 lakh.

The Syros Petrol’s price range has fallen from Rs 9.50 - 16.79 lakh to Rs 8.67 - 15.29 lakh, marking the biggest absolute cut among petrol sub-4m cars.

The Nexon Diesel’s price range has dropped from Rs 10.00 - 15.60 lakh to Rs 9.01 - 14.05 lakh.

3. Mahindra XUV 3XO: Up to Rs 1.56 lakh down

The 3XO Diesel’s price range has dropped from Rs 9.99 - 14.70 lakh to Rs 8.95 - 13.17 lakh.

2. Kia Sonet: Up to Rs 1.64 lakh down

The Sonet Diesel’s price range has fallen from Rs 10.00 - 15.74 lakh to Rs 8.98 - 14.10 lakh.

1. Kia Syros: Up to Rs 1.86 lakh down

Leading the pack is the Syros, which has received the biggest price cut among all compact vehicles. This significant reduction makes the HTX+ (O) AT variant a compelling option, offering a premium feel and a powerful engine at a newly attractive price. It remains to be seen if this price cut can help revive the Syros, which has had limited success since its launch.

The Syros Diesel sees the biggest price reduction in the sub-4m category, falling from Rs 11.30 - 17.79 lakh to Rs 10.14 - 15.94 lakh.

Honourable mentions:Honda Amaze(Rs 1.20 lakh),Skoda Kylaq(Rs 1.19 lakh) andMaruti Suzuki Brezza(Rs 1.12 lakh) sizeable reductions, though just outside the top five.

With GST 2.0 reshaping prices, compact SUVs clearly dominate the biggest cuts, making now the best time to buy.
