The Indian automotive market has been in a downward spiral for almost a year now, with the sales of passenger vehicles seeing a 31.57 percent dip (year-on-year) last month. Like the rest of the manufacturers, French carmaker Renault has been caught in the downturn, too, and is consequently working towards maintaining its sales. To begin with, it expects the uniquely positioned Triber to buck the downtrend. Moreover, the company has authorised dealers to extend sizeable benefits on its cars and SUVs this festive season to boost sales.

Let’s take a look at how much you save at a Renault dealership this September.

Renault Duster

Save up to Rs 1.10 lakh on select variants
The Duster is a tough and hardy midsize SUV that’s been around in its current avatar for a long time now. However, earlier this year, it was given a facelift that has helped spice things up. The rival to the Hyundai Creta and Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is being offered with discounts of up to Rs 1.10 lakh this month on certain variants, depending on stock. Under the hood, the Duster comes with a pair of 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines, with the latter being available in two states of tune. While a manual gearbox is standard, the option of automatics is also available. Also on offer is an all-wheel-drive version.

Renault Captur

Save up to Rs 1.10 lakh
Owing to its curved and swooping profile, the Captur might come off as a crossover at first glance, but it is a rugged SUV underneath nonetheless. The Captur gets the choice of a 106hp petrol and a 110hp diesel motor, with both the engines sporting an equal 1.5-litre capacity. The SUV, however, lacks the option of an automatic transmission. Like its more conventionally styled sibling, the Captur too can be had with discounts to the tune of Rs 1.10 lakh, depending on unsold stock.

Renault Kwid

Save up to Rs 50,000
With an SUV-inspired styling, the Kwid is a popular offering from Renault. The budget hatchback competes with the Datsun Redigo and Maruti Suzuki Alto in our market and will soon find another rival in the upcoming Maruti Suzuki S-Presso. The Kwid is powered by either an 800cc or a 1.0-litre petrol engine, with the larger capacity unit also getting the option of an AMT gearbox. Renault dealers are currently offering benefits of up to Rs 50,000 on the Kwid. Do note that the hatchback is slated for an update later this month. So bargain hard and you might be able to find an even better deal.
