Kia Seltos’ UVO Connect powered by Vodafone SIM

Kia Motors India has announced a partnership with Vodafone Idea in order to provide buyers of its new Seltos SUV with the UVO Connect connected car services. In essence, this means that the Kia Seltos will come with an embedded Vodafone SIM card that will enable the use of the services offered by the connectivity tech.

Like sister brand, Hyundai’s BlueLink connectivity suite, UVOConnect uses an embedded SIM to power all the internet-based connectivity functions, which include 37 features under five separate sections - navigation, safety and security, vehicle management, remote control and convenience. The system comes with AI-based voice commands, stolen vehicle tracking and immobilisation, safety alerts, remote engine start and stop, auto collision notification and remote control for the air purifier. Launched at Rs 9.69-16.99 lakh, the Seltos has been doing well on the sales charts and is our current pick of all the midsize SUVs available in our market, which includes the MG Hector, Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier, Nissan Kicks, Renault Captur and more.

Available with six engine-gearbox options - a 115hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine with manual and CVT options; a 115hp, 1.5-litre diesel with manual and automatic options; and a 140hp, 1.4-litre turbo-petrol motor with manual and dual-clutch auto options - the Kia Seltos is a well-equipped model that boasts excellent quality and high levels of refinement.
