The Hyundai Venue has a new mid-spec Executive variant that's priced at Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom India. The Venue Executive is only available with the 120hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 6-speed manual gearbox, and sits Rs 1.75 lakh lower than the Venue S(O) with the same engine.

  1. Venue Executive gets 16-inch wheels, 8-inch touchscreen
  2. Misses out on kit like a rear camera, LED lights and DRLs
  3. Venue S(O) Turbo now gets additional features
  4. New variants directly rival Nissan Magnite Turbo, Renault Kiger Turbo

Hyundai Venue Executive: features

With the introduction of the Venue Executive, the turbo-petrol engine option is now much more approachable. On the outside, highlights such as 16-inch dual-styled wheels shod in 215/60 R16 rubber, dark chrome on the front grille, and an ‘Executive’ badge on the tailgate and roof rails mark this variant apart.

On the inside, the Venue Executive gets a decent features list, including two-step reclining and 60:40 split-folding rear seats, an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, cruise control, rear AC vents and a rear wiper. However, features such as rear camera, LED lights and DRLs, ORVM-mounted indicators, a height adjustable driver’s seat, a sunroof and a rear parcel tray, which are available on the S(O) variant are not available with the Executive trim.

Hyundai Venue S(O) Turbo: features

Hyundai has also taken the opportunity to upgrade the Venue S(O) Turbo variants. The S(O) Turbo gets 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch auto options priced at Rs 10.75 lakh and Rs 11.86 lakh, respectively. This variant now gets additional features like a sunroof, and reading lamps for the driver and front passenger.

Hyundai Venue Executive, S(O) Turbo: rivals

Considering the Venue Executive and S(O) Turbo variants are priced between Rs 9.99 lakh-11.86 lakh, they directly take on the Renault Kiger Turbo and Nissan Magnite Turbo, which cost between Rs 9.30 lakh-11.23 lakh, and Rs 8.25 lakh-11.27 lakh, respectively. Interestingly, the Venue's sibling from Kia, the Sonet, also has the same engine option, though the starting price for it is Rs 10.49 lakh, which is considerably higher than the Venue Turbo's asking price.
