Hyundai will introduce the second-gen Venue in India in 2025, which will continue to be a compact SUV positioned above the recently launched Exter sub-compact SUV. The new Venue will also be the first Hyundai to roll out from the recently acquired Talegaon plant where the carmaker plans to build around 1,50,000 units a year.

The first-gen Venue (internally codenamed QXi, where 'i' stands for India) continues to be a steady seller for the brand, and Hyundai hopes the new model (codenamed Q2Xi) will carry that baton. While the Exter is currently one of the more popular SUVs from Hyundai, the Venue – currently sold in 13 variants – recently hit the 4,50,000-unit sales mark in India.

The Venue takes on compact SUVs like the Maruti Brezza and Fronx, the Tata Nexon (due for a major facelift next month), the Kia Sonet and the Mahindra XUV300 (both due to receive facelifts next year).

Hyundai’s Talegaon plant: second Indian facility for the brand

Hyundai's second manufacturing facility in India will be active by 2025, with the brand set to invest Rs 5,000 crore in the coming decade. This plant will add to the Chennai plant's 8.2 lakh unit capacity and help Hyundai achieve its goal of manufacturing around one million units a year.
