A test mule spied overseas featured a massive infotainment touchscreen

The interior of the third-generation Creta is expected to be completely revamped to make it look more minimalistic and premium than the current model. A test mule of the upcoming model was spied overseas featuring a massive infotainment system, which seems to be part of the next-generation Pleos Connect system that also extends to a slim digital driver’s display. More details on the third-gen Hyundai Creta’s interior will give a clearer picture of what to expect.
A new strong-hybrid powertrain is expected to be added

We reported that Hyundai is working on a strong-hybrid engine for the Creta, which will be shared with the Kia Seltos. This new powertrain will be based on the existing 1.5-litre four-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol mill. The existing engine options on the current Creta, including a 115hp1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 160hp 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and a 116hp 1.5-litre diesel engine, are expected to continue, along with manual and automatic transmission options.

The 2027 Hyundai Creta is expected to be priced at a premium over the current model’s Rs 10.79 lakh to Rs 19.95 lakh range (inclusive of Creta N Line’s prices). It will continue to rival midsize SUVs like the Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra, Nissan Tekton, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun, while also offering better competition to strong-hybrid rivals like the Maruti Victoris and Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder and Renault Duster.
Prices are ex-showroom, India.
