New Kia Seltos

Kia India has announced the 2026 Seltos price list, with the midsize SUV getting a series of exterior and interior upgrades, along with additional features. Underneath, there’s an all-new K3 platform, and the new Seltos has a relatively larger footprint, save for height. Mechanically, things remain unchanged for now, with three engine options – two petrols and a diesel, while a petrol-hybrid powertrain has been confirmed for later, likely by 2027.

Competition remains just as fierce, with rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Tata Sierra, Maruti Grand Vitara and Honda Elevate. Here, we look at how the new Seltos variant line-up is structured and what each variant offers in terms of powertrains and features.

Which new Kia Seltos variant can you consider?

Priced from Rs 15.59 lakh, the Seltos HTX sits mid-range and offers a well-balanced feature list. It packs goodies like a 12.3-inch touchscreen, front ventilated seats, an 8-speaker Bose system and an 8-way powered driver’s seat (automatic only). If you want some driving assistance, the HTX (A), from Rs 16.69 lakh, adds a Level 2 ADAS suite. Notably, Kia hasn’t restricted the safety technology to the top trims, unlike the first-generation SUV.

Also, all three 1.5-litre engine choices – 115hp, 144Nm naturally aspirated petrol (6MT/CVT), the 160hp, 253Nm turbo-petrol (7DCT), and the 116hp, 250Nm diesel (6MT/6AT) – are on offer with the Seltos HTX and HTX (A) trims, except the 6IMT option for the NA motor.

For buyers on a tighter budget, the Seltos HTK from Rs 13.09 lakh is worth checking out. While the turbo-petrol engine isn’t on offer, the variant still has plenty of practical and feel-good features. If you’re looking for an automatic Seltos, the HTE (O) range – petrol CVT at Rs 13.39 lakh and diesel AT at Rs 14.99 lakh – can be considered. Those wanting the turbo-petrol with a dual-clutch automatic will need to step up to the HTK (O) variant, priced at Rs 16.29 lakh.
