The Kia EV6 facelift price starts at Rs 65.9 lakh (ex-showroom). Kia’s stylish EV rivals the Hyundai Ioniq 5, and it now gets updated looks and more features.
The headlamps are sleeker and the LED DRLs get a new triangular shape. The alloy wheel design along with front and rear bumpers are all-new as well. The Kia EV6 facelift’s interior sees updates to the steering wheel and the curved digital infotainment.
Kia EV6 comes with an 84kWh NMC battery pack that is claimed to be lighter and eight percent more energy-dense, resulting in a range of 663km (ARAI). With a 350kW DC fast charger, the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes, which rises to 73 minutes with a 50kW DC charger.

Launched in 2022 as Kia’s first EV in India, the EV6 has always stood out for its striking design, innovative cabin and punchy performance. There’s now an updated version out that promises more range thanks to a larger battery and it also gets design tweaks inside and out.
Kia EV6 Range and Efficiency
The updated version features a larger 84kWh Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) battery, replacing the older car’s 77.4kWh unit. It's more energy-dense, lighter, and boosts the WLTP range to 581km (up 53km). In real-world conditions, we achieved a combined range of 498km. City efficiency was 5.18km/kWh (435km range), while highway efficiency was even better at 6.67km/kWh (560km range). Higher temperatures during the city cycle impacted efficiency, and regen braking (Level 3) didn’t bring the car to a full stop or recoup much energy. Ultra-fast DC charging (up to 350kW) allows 10-80% charge in just 18 minutes.
Kia EV6 Exterior Design and Engineering
Exterior changes are subtle but effective. New hook-like LED DRLs and a full-width LED light bar give it a sharper look. The facelift is available only in GT-Line trim in India. Revised bumpers and 19-inch alloys add freshness, while the LED elements at the rear are tweaked. Built on the E-GMP platform with 800V architecture (shared with Hyundai Ioniq 5), it measures nearly 4.7m long and 1.9m wide, with a 2.9m wheelbase.
Kia EV6 Interior Space and Comfort
Inside, the layout is familiar but updated. A new three-spoke steering wheel replaces the old two-spoke one, and the dashboard gets new textures. The twin 12.3-inch HD screens now run updated software which is easy to use and intuitive, but the screens reflect light and the minimalist themes make it feel sparse. Front seats are supportive, with a standout zero-gravity mode for full recline when stationary. The rear is spacious for three adults with ample head and knee room, though thigh support suffers due to the high floor. Window blinds are missing. Boot space is 490 litres, with a shallow compartment and a small 20-litre frunk.
Kia EV6 Performance and Refinement
The EV6’s dual-motor setup continues with an output of 325hp and 605Nm, so performance is strong. Kia claims 0-100kph in 5.3sec, but we achieved 5.16sec. Roll-on acceleration is brisk—20-80kph in 2.77sec and 40-100kph in 3.49sec. Power delivery is progressive and smooth, aided by the AWD system’s grip. Drive modes—Eco, Sport, and Individual—alter the car’s responses.
Kia EV6 Ride Comfort and Handling
The EV6 balances ride and handling well. It’s composed in corners with good grip and decent steering weight in Sport, though feedback is limited. Despite large 19-inch wheels, ride comfort is good. It’s firm at low speeds but smoothens out at higher speeds, with vertical movements well-managed. Cabin insulation remains impressive too.
Kia EV6 Features and Safety
Equipment levels are high: sunroof, heated/ventilated front seats, twin displays, wireless phone integration and charging, ambient lighting, HUD, and a 14-speaker Meridian audio system. A larger sunroof would enhance the sense of space though. Safety features include 8 airbags, 360-degree camera, and a full ADAS suite with adaptive cruise, emergency braking, and lane-keep assist. V2V and V2L functions are also supported.
Kia EV6 Price and Verdict
As a CBU, the EV6 is priced at Rs 65.97 lakh (ex-showroom), which is higher than rivals like the Hyundai Ioniq 5, BMW iX1 LWB and BYD Sealion 7. Overall, the Kia EV6 continues to impress with its futuristic styling, premium interiors, and generous features list. Performance remains strong, and the improved real-world range makes it even more appealing.
The Kia EV6 offers a variety of color options. Kia EV6 is available in a range of 5 colors. The colors offered in Kia EV6 are Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black Pearl, Wolf Gray, Yatch Blue Matte and Runway Red.
