Mid trim Tata Sierra vs Top trim Tata Curvv: Which offers more value?

The Tata Sierra and Curvv are both midsize SUVs that are positioned quite differently in Tata’s line-up. While the Curvv is a coupe-SUV built on the ATLAS platform, a modified version of the Nexon’s X1 platform, the Sierra has a traditional SUV look and uses a new ARGOS platform, which sits above ATLAS. We pit the mid-level Adventure+ trim of the Sierra against the top Accomplished+ A trim of the Curvv – since their prices overlap – and help you decide which one offers better value.

For a full breakdown of specs, features and prices, check our Sierra vs Curvv comparison.

Their diesel engines are the same 1.5-litre units, available in 6-speed MT or a 6-speed AT (Sierra)/7-speed DCT (Curvv) guise. Also, a turbo-petrol engine on the Curvv can be had with both manual and automatic transmissions, while the Sierra comes only with the latter.

Tata Sierra mid trim vs Tata Curvv top trim: Which one should you buy?

Sierra is the one to go for.

For most buyers, the Sierra Adventure+ trim is the better choice of the two. After all, it comes at a more accessible price point thanks to the NA petrol engine option, and its turbo-petrol unit packs more grunt than the Curvv’s. Moreover, it boasts the most spacious rear seat in its class, an area where the Curvv struggles due to its coupe styling. While the Curvv clearly has an edge in terms of the equipment list, the Sierra’s Adventure+ trim still offers most features without any major compromise.
