Skoda Kushaq

Skoda Kushaq price in Gautam Buddha Nagar

₹12.19 - ₹21.65 Lakh
On road price in
EMI starting at ₹17,698 /month

On-road in Gautam Buddha Nagar, the base model Classic+ 1.0 TSI MT starts at 12.19 lakh and the top model Monte Carlo 1.5 TSI DCT reaches 21.65 lakh. The Prestige 1.0 TSI MT sits between the two at 19.15 lakh.

If you are financing the car, a loan of 11,00,000 on the base model Classic+ 1.0 TSI MT means an EMI of 17,698 a month. Stepping up to the top model Monte Carlo 1.5 TSI DCT raises that to 31,374 on a loan of 19,50,000.

Why prices change from the base model to the top model:

  • The base model Classic+ 1.0 TSI MT is a Classic+ with the 1.0-litre engine, while the top model Monte Carlo 1.5 TSI DCT is a Monte Carlo with the 1.5-litre and the dual-clutch.

  • Moving from the 115hp 1.0-litre to the 150hp 1.5-litre costs more than a single step up the trim levels.

  • Three gearboxes are offered, and both automatics cost more than the manual.

  • The panoramic sunroof and the powered ventilated front seats sit on the upper variants.

  • The 1.5-litre also brings disc brakes on all four wheels, so the extra money buys hardware as well as equipment.

Registration, road tax and insurance are added to the ex-showroom figure, and how much they add depends on the state you buy in. That is why the same variant costs more in one city than another.

Skoda Kushaq FAQs

Budget-conscious buyers should consider the Skoda Kushaq Classic+ variant. Despite being the entry-level model, it comes well equipped with alloy wheels, automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, rear wash-wipe, an auto-dimming IRVM and a sunroof as standard. This variant offers all the essentials most buyers need without feeling like a stripped-down base variant.

I am looking for a mid-size SUV that is not too large, is reliable, and is fun to drive. Price is not a primary consideration. I am considering the Skoda Kushaq and Honda Elevate. Which one would you recommend? I would also appreciate suggestions for other SUVs that fit these requirements.

Go for the Skoda Kushaq 1.5 TSI DSG. It is the better fit for your brief. The Kushaq is one of the most fun-to-drive SUVs in the segment, with strong performance, sharp handling and a genuinely engaging driving experience. The 1.5 TSI engine is punchy and refined, and the DSG gearbox delivers quick, seamless shifts. It is also not a large SUV, so it remains easy to manoeuvre in the city while still offering a comfortable ride and decent space for a family of four.If you are open to alternatives, the Volkswagen Taigun is mechanically identical to the Kushaq and worth considering if you prefer its styling or interior. The Honda Elevate is a sensible choice. It is reliable, easy to own and has Honda's reputation for long-term durability. But the Skoda Kushaq and VW Taigun 1.5 TSI are more compact and fun to drive.

I am planning to buy a new crossover within a month and want to keep it for four to five years. My priorities are good resale value, decent highway acceleration and mileage. My budget is Rs 15-17.5 lakh, and I am considering only cars with a DCT, torque-converter, CVT or IVT automatic. I have shortlisted the Skoda Kushaq Signature, Hyundai Creta S(O), Kia Seltos HTK and Honda Elevate VX. I am also considering waiting for the new Elevate facelift in October. I was thinking of waiting for the Creta facelift as well, but it will take a few more months. I expect to drive 60% in the city, with occasional highway trips. I want a car that performs well on the highway, offers good overtaking ability and delivers decent mileage. I have driven Honda and Volkswagen sedans abroad. Which car would be the better fit for my needs?

Based on your requirements, the Skoda Kushaq Signature 1.0 TSI with the 8-speed torque converter automatic is the best fit. It offers strong mid-range performance for highway overtakes, a proven and reliable powertrain, and a driving experience that will feel familiar and engaging given your experience with VW group cars abroad. The torque converter automatic is smooth and well-suited to your 60% city usage, while still delivering the punch you want on the highway. This Skoda car also sits comfortably within your budget and is available immediately, which is important given your one-month timeline. The Hyundai Creta S(O) IVT and Kia Seltos HTK IVT are both excellent alternatives if you prioritise refinement and a more premium cabin experience. The IVT gearbox is exceptionally smooth in the city, but the naturally aspirated petrol engine does not offer the same mid-range punch as the Kushaq for highway overtakes. The Honda Elevate VX CVT is the most reliable long-term ownership proposition, but again, the naturally aspirated engine is not as strong on the highway.Waiting for the Elevate facelift in October is a reasonable option if you are not in a hurry, but the changes are expected to be incremental rather than transformative.Overall, the Kushaq Signature 1.0 TSI torque converter strikes the best balance between performance, reliability, driving enjoyment and immediate availability. It will deliver the highway performance you want while remaining easy to live with in the city.

I’m confused between the Skoda Kushaq and Kia Seltos. My usage will be mostly on the highway, with trips planned mainly on weekends. I’m 5'8" and am looking for a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol SUV with good power, comfort, performance, suspension, handling and stability, along with an overall engaging driving experience. This will be my first car, so please suggest which one I should go for.

Go for the Skoda Kushaq 1.5 TSI. Since your usage is mostly highway runs on weekends and you are specifically looking for power, comfort, performance, suspension, handling, stability and an overall good driving experience, the Skoda Kushaq is the better fit. The 1.5 TSI engine is strong and punchy, and the car feels genuinely engaging to drive, with good high-speed stability and a well-sorted suspension setup. It is also a slightly more compact SUV, which makes it easier to live with as a first car.The Kia Seltos 1.5 turbo is also a very good car and feels more premium inside, but it is a larger SUV, and the driving experience is not as sharp or as involving as the Skoda Kushaq. Since this is your first car and your priorities are clearly performance and driving enjoyment, the Kushaq 1.5 TSI is the more satisfying choice.

Took my Kushaq 1.5 TSI to a track day event for the first time, and the chassis held up better through the corners than I expected from a compact SUV.

Kushaq vs Taigun, same platform and drivetrain options, but they somehow feel like completely different cars to drive. Curious which one people think actually justifies its badge here?
