MG Hector price in Nadia

₹13.91 - ₹23.20 Lakh
On road price in
EMI starting at ₹20,111 /month

Before city-specific figures come into play, the MG Hector buyer faces an earlier decision: manual or automatic. The CVT commands a premium across every trim it is offered in, and that single choice shapes the rest of the budgeting exercise more than any accessory pack does. Once that call is made, the on-road number in Nadia follows from adding RTO registration, insurance and other statutory levies to the ex-showroom price, a gap that shifts from city to city. Opting for the Petrol Style MT, priced at Rs. 11.99 lakh ex-showroom in Nadia, brings the on-road figure to Rs. 13.91 lakh once those charges are folded in.

  • Base variant, Petrol Style MT: Rs. 13.91 lakh on-road in Nadia
  • Plus Petrol Savvy Pro 7 seat CVT, the top model with adaptive cruise control, hands-free boot opening and third-row seating: Rs. 23.20 lakh on-road
  • Automatic (CVT) trims command a premium over the equivalent manual across the range, so weigh the convenience against the extra outlay
  • Best value pick: Smart Pro MT, which brings push-button start, onboard navigation, OTA updates and leatherette seats without stepping into automatic pricing

Choosing the Petrol Style MT on finance brings the EMI to Rs. 20,111 on a loan of Rs. 12,50,000, a figure worth keeping in mind before chasing a single feature up the trim ladder. Given how wide the spread runs between the base variant and the top variant, settle on a firm must-have list first and let that, rather than the on-road price in isolation, decide which trim gets booked in Nadia.

MG Hector FAQs

The base variant of the MG Hector is priced higher than the equivalent Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, but its top-spec 5-seater variant with the CVT gearbox is more affordable than its Creta and Seltos counterparts.

With a 10 percent downpayment, 9 percent rate of interest and a 5-year loan tenure, the MG Hector’s base variant will have an EMI of Rs 26,571. These figures will vary based on your location and banking partner.

The MG Hector Shield Protect maintenance plan costs Rs 26,000, and can be bought within 10,000km or 12 months from the date of purchasing the car.

If you want one of the mid-spec variants of the MG Hector, then the prices are fairly comparable to those of close rivals.

I am in love with MG Hector's old version that offers better space, legroom, driving experience, boot space, etc. but my problem is mileage, as I am using Ford Ecosport now but it offers similar mileage. So, would it be better option to take Hector diesel in the range of 12 lakh (2022 model) in the second hand market. Should I opt for Tomahawk, because I genuinely don't like it.

If you genuinely love the Hector and are getting a well-maintained 2022 diesel for around Rs. 12 lakh, it is a very good option. The Hector is a spacious, comfortable SUV with a genuinely premium feel, and the diesel engine is well suited to highway driving and long-distance touring. The Tomahawk is a more modern product, but if you do not like the car, there is no point forcing yourself into it. The Hector diesel is a proven package and at that price point represents strong value in the used market. Just make sure the service history is clean and the car has been well maintained. If you are happy with the mileage you are getting from the EcoSport and your priority is space, comfort and a premium feel, the Hector diesel is the right choice.

Dear Team, I am quite perplexed and would greatly appreciate your assistance. I currently drive a 2023 Hyundai Creta Turbo top-end model and am looking to upgrade to a superior vehicle, with a budget of under Rs 30 lakh. My driving is evenly split between highways and city roads. Usually, there are two adults and one teenager in the car for 99% of my drives. I also admit that I do not have a strong parking sense, which makes me apprehensive about driving larger vehicles. I require a fully automatic car. Once a year, I travel with my family of four adults, one teenager, and a dog, along with substantial luggage to hilly destinations such as Shimla, Mussoorie, and Manali. My Creta has never struggled with the overall load, and I have never faced any issues with its performance or ability to handle steep climbs, even with the air conditioning on and the car fully loaded. The most economical option appears to be the top-end Alcazar, as it is currently available with a discount. However, I am considering the XUV700 top-end AX7L, as I believe it might offer more power and luxury. I am also anticipating the launch of the new MG Hector, which I expect to be more luxurious and fuel-efficient. Could you please advise me on which car would be most suitable for my requirements? If I opt for the top-end Alcazar Turbo Diesel, will it be capable of handling steep climbs with a full load, or should I consider the XUV700 with its 2.0-litre engine? Also, which of these vehicles would provide greater comfort in Delhi's bumper-to-bumper traffic? Regards, Ady

Given your usage pattern, the Mahindra XUV 7XO AX7L diesel automatic is the best car under 30 lakh. Your annual hill trips with a full load, including four adults, a teenager, a dog and substantial luggage, are the key factor here. The XUV 7XO's 2.2-litre diesel engine is significantly more powerful and torquey than the Alcazar's 1.5-litre diesel, which will make a noticeable difference on steep climbs with a full load. The XUV 7XO also offers a more spacious and comfortable cabin, especially in the third row, which will be appreciated on long journeys. The Hyundai Alcazar diesel automatic is a good value proposition, especially with current discounts, and it will handle hill climbs with a full load, but it will not feel as effortless as the XUV 7XO. This Mahindra car XUV 7XO also feels more premium inside and offers a more luxurious overall experience. In Delhi's bumper-to-bumper traffic, the Alcazar's smaller size and lighter steering make this Hyundai car slightly easier to manoeuvre, but the XUV 7XO's automatic gearbox is smooth and easy to live with, and the difference is not significant enough to outweigh the XUV 7XO's advantages on your hill trips. The MG Hector is worth considering if you are willing to wait, but it is unlikely to match the XUV 7XO's diesel performance and overall package. The XUV 7XO AX7L diesel automatic is the most complete upgrade from your Hyundai Creta, offering the right balance of power, space, comfort and luxury for your needs.

I have a budget of Rs. 30 lakh and want to buy a diesel automatic car with good performance on highways that has decent mileage along with good safety, space and comfort. My usage is mostly on highways and I drive less within the city. I am considering Harrier, Jeep Compass and MG Hector. Among these, which would be a better highway car and fulfil all my requirements?

Verified
3w

Go for the Tata Harrier diesel automatic. With your budget of Rs. 30 lakh and predominantly highway usage, the Harrier is the best fit among your shortlist. It has a strong diesel engine, a comfortable ride and a spacious cabin, making it well suited for long-distance touring. The Harrier also offers good safety credentials and a wide service network, which is important for long-term ownership. The Jeep Compass is a good driver's car with strong performance and a premium feel, but it is significantly more expensive for comparable variants and does not offer the same value proposition. The MG Hector is spacious and comfortable, but it does not feel as robust or as well suited to high-speed highway driving as the Harrier. The Harrier strikes the right balance between performance, comfort, safety and value, making it the most sensible choice for your requirements.

I currently own a 2022 Kia Seltos that has covered 35,000 km. My wife and I are the primary occupants, and we usually take one or two road trips every six months, covering up to 300 km in a day on highways. We are both 66 years old. I plan to continue driving myself for the next five years, after which I expect to hire a chauffeur. I have been considering replacing the Seltos with the MG Hector Savvy CVT 6-seater. Given my usage and future plans, would it be better to make the change now or wait?

Verified
5w

Based on your usage and priorities, there is no compelling reason to change your Kia Seltos right now. Your 2022 Seltos with 35,000 km is still relatively new and well within its prime ownership period. Since you and your wife are usually the only occupants, and your travel is limited to one or two highway trips every six months with a maximum of 300 km a day, moving to a larger 6-seater like the MG Hector Savvy CVT does not offer any meaningful advantage. While the Hector is a comfortable SUV, its larger dimensions and third row are unlikely to be fully utilised based on your current needs. The Seltos is already a comfortable and capable highway car, and it will continue to serve you well for the next five years until you transition to a chauffeur-driven setup. At that point, you can reassess your requirements and choose a more comfort-focused upgrade if needed. For now, keeping the Seltos is the more practical and sensible decision.
