Trending Questions on Kia Cars - Answered by Autocar Experts
I want to buy a seven-seater family car with a budget of around ₹15 lakh. Which one should I choose? I’m not a big fan of the Ertiga.
I am looking for a compact suv near 14-15 lacs. But can't decide . Initially I thought among Brezza, Venue and Sonet. Now I am seeing every car has some or the other shortcomings. I need a 5 seater comfortable car, automatic which will mostly be for city use and sometimes long drives with family. Should I consider the upper segments car like Elevate and Seltos but again budget will be high. So I am quite confused.
Hi Team, I’m 6’3″ tall and based in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. This is for my first car with an on-road budget of ₹15 lakh, and I’m looking for an automatic. I’ll be driving about 300 km per month within the city, plus around five long trips per year. Could you please suggest suitable car options?
I have been using a Brezza diesel without any issues for the past eight years and am now looking to upgrade. My requirements include a decent mileage of around 15 kmpl, adequate power, reliability, and seating for five. I am considering the Sierra diesel or turbo-petrol, Creta, or the new 7XO. My budget is under ₹25 lakh, and I live in a tier-2 city. Please advise.
I have a budget of around ₹10-12 lakh and need decent fuel efficiency, as I’m not confident about petrol mileage after fuel blending. My running is on the lower side. Should I consider a Sonet diesel or a Fronx petrol? I would prefer an automatic option with features like proper hill hold control. Please advise.
If you want efficiency, the Kia Sonet diesel is the one to go for. Beyond the cost advantage of running a diesel, the Sonet diesel is actually nicer to drive than the Maruti-Suzuki Fronx petrol.
The Sonet 1.5 diesel offers better performance and works well with the 6-speed automatic transmission. The Fronx is, of course, cheaper, but if you have the budget and want a car with low running costs and want an alternative to petrol, then the Sonet diesel is for you.
I am looking to buy a new 7-seater EV and am confused between the XEV 9S and the Harrier EV. I plan to go on long trips and am unsure whether to choose an EV or an ICE vehicle. I also prefer a car without a sunroof. Please advise.
I’m planning to buy an SUV in the ₹25 lakh price range. I have shortlisted the Tata Sierra, Thar Roxx, and the facelifted Kia Seltos. I have seen a Sierra demo car without PDI and have concerns about uneven panel gaps, the plastic quality on the lower dashboard and doors, and the durability of the white soft-touch material on the dashboard. Can you please recommend whether I should wait for the Sierra’s production car or go with an alternative? I prefer a balance of power and efficiency.
The Tata Sierra's that we reviewed were well put together for the most part, with just a few niggles around. However, Tata Motors is known to have many issues with its cars, especially in the initial period. Thus, if you are in doubt about the quality, we would suggest you wait for a few months.
As for the other options, we would rule out the Mahindra Thar as it is tilted more towards performance. Also, it will not meet your requirement of a balance of power and efficiency.
What would meet this requirement would be the diesel Kia Seltos.
I want to get a car with a budget of 20 lakhs. Don't want it tobbe as big as my current Honda CR-V 2013. Should be comfortable for 5 people and give decent mileage for a city like Mumbai. What would be a good option for me amongst options like Tata Sierra, Mahindra Xuv700, Skoda Kylaq/Kushaq, Toyota Hyryder, Kia Seltos 2026 etc. Quite confused as to what will be a good balance of drivability and tech features and safety.
The best 5-seaters within a compact footprint are the Tata Sierra and the all-new Kia Seltos, mainly because of their spacious back seats which are good for three passengers.
The Sierra is a good mix of a city and highway car. But in your case, since you are mainly going to be commuting in Mumbai, the Seltos with the 1.5 petrol and CVT gearbox will be the best.
The Seltos is superbly equipped and a bit bigger than before, which makes it a very comfortable car.
I have been using a Verna Diesel 1.6-litre for the past 8 years, and it has served me well in terms of fuel efficiency. My average monthly running is around 2,500km. Due to the diesel ban in Delhi NCR and the need for a more comfortable car, I am now looking to switch to an EV (XEV 9S or the Harrier EV). I am not very particular about having too many features. I have been waiting for bookings to open for the XEV 9S, but with the launch of the new Seltos, should I consider that as well?
I need a car for my family under 15 lakhs. My height is 6 ft, so smaller cars are uncomfortable for me. I would like to go for a safe & reliable car. My running is under 500km monthly, with 80% city and 20% highway. I'm okay with a pre-owned car/SUV as well. Thanks!
