Trending Questions on Toyota Glanza - Answered by Autocar Experts
Iโm a new driver looking for a premium automatic hatchback within a โน10 lakh budget. Iโve shortlisted the Baleno Zeta AGS, Tata Altroz Creative AMT, and Hyundai i20 Sportz iVT. Considering fuel efficiency, reliability, safety, comfort for long drives, and ease of driving as a beginner, which of these three is the best option?
The Maruti Baleno AGS is a proven, reliable hatchback, which will be the most fuel-efficient option from the bunch. It offers good space, comfort and is likely to deliver a trouble-free ownership experience.
Between the three, it is the best option for a new driver. You could also consider a Toyota Glanza, which is the badge-engineered Baleno, but comes with beige-black interiors.
I am a first-time, amateur driver with a strict preference for an automatic transmission. My budget is up to Rs 10 lakh on the road, but I can stretch to Rs 12 lakh if required. My usage will be very low initially, around 50 to 100 km per month. My priority is low and hassle-free maintenance with dependable showroom service. As a bonus, I would prefer models that offer a 360-degree camera or blind view monitor, as this would greatly help my confidence, though it is not a deal-breaker. Please suggest suitable models.
Hello, Autocar. I currently drive an Alto K10, and Iโm considering upgrading to a Baleno Alpha MT. Is this upgrade worthwhile? Or can you suggest any other good options within โน10 lakh?
Yes, the Maruti Baleno will certainly feel like a big upgrade from your Maruti Alto K10 in every aspect - space, comfort, features and performance. Alternatively, you could also check out the Toyota Glanza, a badge-engineered Maruti Baleno, for its beige interiors, which feel a touch airier than the Maruti's.
Hi! Iโm planning to buy a hatchback or sub-4m SUV for mostly solo highway driving, around 4,500 km per month. Iโm looking for a comfortable automatic car with good mileage that can seat 4 people comfortably. Iโve shortlisted the Toyota Glanza V AMT since it offers a Maruti engine (which Iโve always liked) without being a Maruti-branded car, something my family prefers to avoid. Given this context, do you think the Glanza is the right choice in 2025, or would you recommend any other non-Maruti options?
Hi team, Iโm confused between the Toyota Glanza AMT and the Hyundai Exter IVT as my first car. Both fit my โน10 lakh budget. My driving is split about 50% city and 50% highway, and I use the car roughly once a week. Please suggest which one offers lower maintenance and better overall performance.
Please note, the Hyundai Exter does not come with an IVT/CVT gearbox but an AMT.
As for your query, the Toyota Glanza AMT is the one to buy. It's got a more powerful engine and delivers superior performance in both city and highway driving conditions. As an added plus, the Glanza also feels more upmarket than the Exter. The Glanza is also fuel-efficient and is known to be cost-effective to maintain, making it an easy pick of the two models on your shortlist.
Iโm 55 years old and a first-time car buyer. My budget is โน9-11 lakh. Iโll use the car mostly in the city, with a 400 km highway trip once every two months. My requirements: safety, automatic transmission, and a 4-cylinder engine. Can you please suggest suitable models?
There are a number of options available based on your requirements. If you want a hatchback, go for the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. It comes with a smooth 4-cylinder engine paired to an AMT automatic gearbox, and it comes with 6 airbags and a 4-star safety rating from Global NCAP. However, if you prefer a small SUV or a crossover, consider the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, which comes with the same four-cylinder engine and safety features as the Baleno. Do note, both these models are also available as rebadged Toyotas in the form of the Glanza (Baleno) and Taisor (Fronx).
I currently own a Honda City automatic and am planning to switch to a hatchback for city driving. Iโm debating between the Maruti Baleno automatic and the Toyota Glanza automatic. Which one would be the better choice for my needs?
The Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Toyota Glanza are the same car underneath. Both get the exact same powertrain and features, so it comes down to which dealer offers a better deal. If you get a good deal or shorter waiting time on the Toyota Glanza, go for it.
Iโm a first-time car buyer with a budget of around โน8 lakh, looking for comfort, good mileage, and an automatic transmission. My usage split is 60% city and 40% highway. Will the Maruti Baleno suit me?
The Baleno is a very good choice. It is an easy-to-drive, low-maintenance car with great fuel efficiency. Out on the highway, too, its engine is reasonably powerful, and its suspension copes well to give the car a planted and confident feel while cruising. You may also consider a Toyota Glanza, which is identical to the Baleno, but gets a more premium-looking beige and black interior.
Iโm 47 years old and learned to drive six months ago. I want to buy my first car, which will be used mostly for weekend trips. Please suggest a car within โน8-9 lakh that offers good mileage.
I want to buy my first car. My office commute will be around 2,000-2,500 km a month, with occasional highway or long trips with my wife and two pets. My budget is โน10-12.5 lakh on road in Mumbai. Kindly suggest a smooth, reliable, and comfortable car.
