Maruti Suzuki Invicto FAQs
Trending Questions on Maruti Suzuki Invicto - Answered by Autocar Experts
Dear Autocar Team, I am confused about selecting a 7-seater. I am 54 years 54-year-old male and am 5'8". I own a Dzire (diesel), which is close to 11 years old. Now I feel it is a good time to go for a little bigger car within 25 lakhs. I have tested the Mahindra XUV700 diesel AT and liked the driving experience. Now the local dealerships are saying that they are out of stock. Now what should I do, wait for the facelift or go for the Invicto hybrid (the HyCross is out of budget for me)? Please advise.
Iโm looking to buy a new or used car with a monthly running of about 2,000 km (mostly city with a few Mumbai-Pune trips). The car will be mostly chauffeur-driven, so rear-seat comfort and smooth low-speed performance are important. Daily use will be for 2-3 passengers, but I need occasional seating for six. I prefer Hybrid, Diesel, or Electric. My priorities are comfort, reliability, low running costs, and strong service support. My budget is around 25 lakh. Please suggest 3-5 options and include used choices if suitable.
With your extensive usage, we cannot recommend an EV, as you would have to charge it frequently, and that is not good for battery health. In your budget of Rs 25 lakh, there aren't any 6-seater hybrids, either; your only option there is to move up to the Rs 30-lakh-plus Toyota Innova Hycross or Maruti Suzuki Invicto - both of which are excellent choices.
In your budget, the best option is the Kia Carens Clavis diesel. It's well equipped, comfortable and surprisingly spacious for its size. Plus, there are both six and seven-seat versions, so you can choose which configuration suits you best.
I want to buy a 7-seater for my family with a 70:30 highway-to-city usage pattern and an annual running of around 10,000 to 12,000km. I am considering the Invicto Zeta Plus with year-end discounts, the HyCross GX, and the XEV 9S. My buying motivators are Comfort, build-to-last quality and low maintenance, as I will be keeping it for a long time. Which one should I choose?
I have gone through your review of the MG M9. Is there a petrol or hybrid option available in that price range for a seven-seater?
I want to buy a seven-seater for my family. I am looking for comfort, safety, low maintenance, and a car that is future-ready with respect to fuel. I am confused between Hybrid and ICE. I am not interested in EVs. My budget is around Rs 25 lakh. Kindly suggest.
I currently drive a Kia Carens manual but want to switch to an automatic. My budget is around โน30 lakh, and Iโm looking for a premium 7-seater with strong safety features; a hybrid is also an option. I can increase the budget slightly for the right recommendation.
The Toyota Innova HyCross in VX Hybrid guise will be the best choice considering your requirements. It is a touch above Rs 30 lakh on-road, and the only other strong-hybrid rival is the Maruti Suzuki Invicto, which is a rebadged Hycross.
The Invicto is slightly different in look, and for the same price, it misses out on some features that you get in the VX version of the Hycross.
The Innova Hycross is big on cabin space, reliability and comfort, and it is one of the few SUVs that has a full-size third row that is good enough for adults. The hybrid powertrain also helps in terms of efficiency, and the petrol engine offers a smooth and refined drive on comparison to clattery diesel engines.
I am looking for a 7-seater that is spacious, including the third row, with a good balance of the latest tech, features, and boot space.
I want to buy a new car. My monthly running is around 4,000 km. Which option will be more budget-friendly for me, EV or hybrid? I am currently driving a Swift Dzire diesel. Please suggest which car I should buy.
I am looking for a 7-seater hybrid automatic car with ADAS and cruise control. My budget is around 20 lakhs.
If you are primarily looking for the best 7-seater in your budget, the Kia Carens Clavis is the one we'd recommend.
Iโm looking to buy a 2.0-litre hybrid SUV in 2026 with a budget of โน25 lakh. What options are likely to be available? Is Toyota planning a RAV4, Kia a Sportage, or Honda a ZRV for India, and would they fit my price point? Or is it better to consider diesel models such as the Harrier? What are the pros and cons of petrol versus diesel for my needs, and given the E20 fuel uncertainty, do you recommend choosing diesel?
Currently, there are no 2.0-litre hybrid SUVs on sale in India. Your closest option would be the Toyota Innova Hycross or Maruti Suzuki Invicto, both of which are capable MPVs.
It is unlikely that Toyota will bring the RAV4 to India anytime soon. However, Honda is expected to launch the ZR-V in 2026 with the brandโs 2.0 hybrid powertrain. Kia is also rumoured to bring the larger, three-row Sorento to India in 2026. It could come as a CKD model with local assembly for a more competitive price.
It is definitely worth looking at a diesel engine if your usage is high. Due to stricter emission regulations, the remaining diesel options are now cleaner than ever. Ironically, in some cases, they are even cleaner than petrol.
The downsides are that there arenโt many diesel options left, the DPF system needs regular attention, and the price is usually higher. New petrol cars are ready for E20 fuel, but if regulations change in the future, their compatibility is still uncertain.
