Up to Rs 1.78 lakh off on Volkswagen Vento TSI this month

For the month of March, Volkswagen dealerships are offering various benefits and discounts to boost sales. The models available with benefits include the Polo hatchback and the Vento sedan. Read on to see how much you can save on the purchase of a new Volkswagen car this month.

Volkswagen Vento discounts for March 2021

The Volkswagen Vento TSI can be had with discounts and benefits of up to Rs 1.78 lakh for the month of March, depending on the variant. VW dealers are offering discounts ranging from Rs 69,000 for the Highline Plus AT variant to Rs 1.38 lakh for the Highline Plus MT variant. On top of the special offer price, buyers can also avail exchange and loyalty bonuses that are worth Rs 40,000.  

Volkswagen Polo discounts for March 2021

Volkswagen’s entry-level model in India, the Polo, is also available with benefits this month. The offers are valid on both, MPI and TSI powered versions. For the MPI versions, the base Trendline trim is available with benefits worth Rs 52,000. For the TSI variants, the Highline Plus MT is being offered with benefits worth Rs 55,000. The benefits include a special offer price, along with exchange and loyalty bonuses worth Rs 30,000.  

Volkswagen Polo and Vento: engine details

The entry-level variants of the Volkswagen Polo are powered by a 1.0-litre MPI naturally-aspirated petrol engine that puts out 76hp and 95Nm of torque and comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. There’s also the option of a 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine that produces 110hp and 175Nm of torque. This TSI engine also powers the Vento sedan. Gearbox options for the TSI models include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. 

Volkswagen Polo and Vento: rivals

In terms of rivals, the Polo competes with the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, the Ford Figo and the Maruti Suzuki Swift. The Vento sedan, meanwhile, rivals the Skoda Rapid, the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, the Hyundai Verna, the Toyota Yaris and the fifth-gen Honda City

The German manufacturer is currently gearing up for the unveil of the Taigun compact SUV in the coming weeks, ahead of its market launch in mid-2021. Recently, Volkswagen recommenced sales of the T-Roc SUV, which is being brought to India via the CBU route. The 2021 Volkswagen T-Roc is priced at Rs 21.35 lakh, which is Rs 1.36 lakh higher than the 2020 model.
