It’s been about three years since Skoda launched the Kushaq SUV in our market, which means it will soon be due for a mid-lifecycle makeover. Skoda has done well to keep the Kushaq up to date with new features and special editions, but it is set to get a thorough exterior makeover and new features with the facelift when it arrives next year. We have earlier reported on some of the new feature additions. Now, we have fresh details about the exterior cosmetic updates as well.

  1. Kushaq facelift will get connected LED headlamps, tail lamps
  2. Equipment list will see addition of ADAS, 360-degree camera
  3. Will remain mechanically unchanged

Skoda Kushaq facelift exterior updates

The Kushaq facelift will likely adopt a connected lighting theme for both its headlamps and tail-lamps – something that’s becoming increasingly common on cars across all segments. This will perhaps necessitate a major redesign of the headlamps that are expected to be connected at the grille, which, too, will become larger. The connected tail-lamps could resemble that of the new Kodiaq for that all-important family look. Other updates could include reworked front and rear bumpers, a new set of alloy wheels and some new colour options as well.

Skoda Kushaq facelift interior, features

We do not have the exact details of the interior cosmetic updates yet, but new trim, upholstery elements and colours could definitely be part of the mix. What we know for sure is that the equipment list will benefit from the inclusion of an ADAS suite. The Kushaq is already well-equipped with features such as a digital instrument cluster, ventilated seats and six airbags, but it remains to be seen if the crowd-favourite panoramic sunroof makes the cut.

Skoda Kushaq facelift powertrain options

The Kushaq facelift will remain mechanically unchanged from the current model. It will continue with the 115hp, 178Nm, 1.0-litre TSI and the 150hp, 250Nm, 1.5-litre TSI engines. A 6-speed manual gearbox will be standard on both; the 1.0-litre TSI will continue with its 6-speed AT, as will the 1.5-litre TSI with its 7-speed DCT.
